Meanwhile, in Coventry...

This was on the news. I love cats D:

T-nex 08-24-2010 02:35 PM

What a sick person.

Mr. Bungle 08-24-2010 06:12 PM

This is terrible. I wish I never watched that, what a disgusting person.
I hope the cat was okay...

Alf Shall Rise 08-24-2010 07:12 PM

Saw this earlier. Poor cat, terrible person.

The cat was stuck in the bin for quite a while, although fortunately, it's okay.

Pilot 08-24-2010 08:11 PM

She acted as if she thought it might have been a Witch's familiar.

Phylum 08-24-2010 08:14 PM

Lully Lullay.

Pilot 08-24-2010 08:14 PM

BE QUIET!

Sekto Springs 08-24-2010 11:52 PM

Am I a bad person for finding this funny?
I mean, she pets it and treats it with kindness and then just nonchalantly throws it in the bin. That's funny.

Dixanadu 08-25-2010 12:31 AM

Says the person who was openly disturbed about animal cruelty :P

Sekto Springs 08-25-2010 12:33 AM

This isn't animal cruelty. It's animal slapstick.

Hazel-Rah 08-25-2010 12:42 AM

Worse things have happened on the news.

OddjobAbe 08-25-2010 01:22 AM

I think that all more or less sums up my sentiments about cats.

It's animal slapstick.

It was trapped in there for fifteen hours!

Phylum 08-25-2010 03:05 AM

The part when it was thrown in the bin was animal slapstick, though.

Wings of Fire 08-25-2010 06:59 AM

I also found this funny.

And I'm me.

You're a horrible, terrible person.

Anyway I neither find it sad or funny. I just think the person who did that is sick. That's all.

I can imagine doing it with veggies(cos no one cares about a plant's feelings), but with a living being you have to be abnormally sadistic.

Wings of Fire 08-25-2010 07:07 AM

It survived though. If the headline was WOMAN KILLS CAT BY SHOVING IT BIN then it would be sick.

That's about how I feel about. It lived, so I can't quite get a high level of vitriol up.

shaman 08-25-2010 08:14 AM

I've been doing this for years, then some bitch gets caught on camera and she's all that.

God damn.

Wil 08-25-2010 08:25 AM

The cat's survival wasn't assured. You're hinging your opinion on the matter on happenstance rather than the woman's actions.

Wings of Fire 08-25-2010 08:37 AM

What the woman did wasn't funny, rather the situation itself is funny.

Everything is ok as long as its for the lulz.

Josh 08-25-2010 09:16 AM

Somebody was mean to a cat and /b/ hasn't had them killed yet. How odd.

Phantasos 08-25-2010 09:41 AM

Okay, when I heard this on the radio at work, I thought some woman had been caught on camera placing HER cat into a bin to dispose of it.

But this is something else. I can't quite think of a logical reason to do something like that. What on Earth went through her mind? I mean sure she clearly hates cats, but she stroked it and lured it into a bin.. for what reason? Its beyond me. RSPCA are interviewing/interrogating (haha RSPCA interrogating) her, but I'm pretty sure she needs to be interviewed by psychiatrists.

In time, in time.

That's what I'm saying. She's sick.

No, no. My opinion of it is that it was very nasty. I just can't get up the energy to be angry since it lived.

Phantasos 08-25-2010 10:56 AM

Yeah if it had died, I'd probably be fuming now. Cats are cats, and thus cats are precious living beings.

I'd also like to point out to T-Nex that although I found it sick, I did laugh. I'm not entirely sure if it was a laugh of disbelief of that slipstick comedy mentioned.

Nate 08-25-2010 05:46 PM

Every single news website from around the world I've looked at in the last couple of days has had this video prominently linked. That woman has become world-famous without even trying. She's the next Susan Boyle.

Has no-one worked out who she is yet?

Alcar 08-25-2010 06:19 PM

Someone did. The police have placed her with protective services.

Alcar...

She's the next Susan Boyle.

The difference being SuBo intentionally went on national television.
