every oddworld website ive gone to says that the images and stuff were all used by kind permission of OWI. what i want to know is, how do you get permission from them? do you send them an email? i know this sounds stupid but im just a stupid person.

that's probably because all the webmasters of Oddworld web sites (on Oddworld.com's list) have been sent an email with a few terms & conditions that they have to agree to before they can have their site on Oddworld.com's fansite list...
one of the conditions is that they must state that the images are property of OWI...

So you want to create an Oddworld fan site? I know how you can get permission from Oddworld to make one...just send an email with your name and URL to FanLegal@Oddworld.com, then you'll be sent a fan site agreement and the next thing you know, you'll be on your way!
