Hey, Hi, Hello. *waves*

Hi.
Umm.. I'm SligguyO_o, and I don't know what to say. So let's see where this goes.

Well, first off, it is normal to post these newbie things, isn't it? :fuzconf: 'Cus I don't want to sound like an attention seeker, or anything.

So this is my first ever thread, and I'm pretty sure it's my first ever public post, too, so yay!

I joined because I thought that this looked like a really cool place, and because I wanted something to do(I suppose). I'm glad to say that I was right!:D I first found out about this place from the official Oddworld "First Ten Years" website.

I've been reading W@RF, and so far it's good, except for a few people ruining it. You know, the ones that don't have proper grammar, or the ones that unload four different characters all at once, to make it really confusing. Another thing is when decent people leave with absolutely no warning, and just when you're about to cross them off your list of regular posters, they come back saying that they went on holiday, or something. I don't get how they couldn't have just quickly posted something before they went.

So, next thing would be.. Umm.. Oh! My name! I was really surprised when "Sligguy" was already taken, since I use it for practacally everything else I sign up for. The face in my name was my reaction. O_o

My favorite character type would be Slig, because they are badass and funny at the same time, and I think that that's a hard balance to get right.

I hope that my experience at ODW will be a pleasant one, and that I get a pat on the back and/or a cookie for my grammar, and such.

Tl;dr

Welcome.

Not until you learn the correct way to paragraph. Only then will cookies be abundant. Or pats, if you prefer, but those come from Alcar.

Hazel-Rah 08-14-2010 09:39 PM

Oh dude you're from the UK, do you know the queen?

Nate 08-14-2010 10:39 PM

*insert obvious Alcar joke here*

Crashpunk 08-14-2010 11:52 PM

United Kingdom FTW :tard:

anyway hey.

Welcome, new Sligguy! :)
I'm glad you found a fun place here.

I can understand you don't like it when members suddenly get inactive and come back either never or much later. But don't be too mad, some of us just have a busy life to take care of. And, as much as I personally love Oddworld, I'm not as active here as I should too. Alright, you have been warned. :D

Anyway, it made me smile to read why you added that O_o in your name. It's a cute idea.

:confused:I thought that I did quite well paragraphing that. With TiP ToP, and all. But I suppose I'll sift through and edit it if I see fit.:)

I know of her, but not personally in the slightest.

Wait, this doesn't count as double post, does it?

Ridg3 08-15-2010 07:57 AM

Did you post another post before someone else posted?

If so... you double posted.

I'm not sure. I used the quote button to reply to one person, and then did the same thing to a different person straight after. The two messages come up next to each other, but I'm not sure if it counts when all I did was reply to two different people.

OddjobAbe 08-15-2010 04:46 PM

Next to the quote button is a multi-quote button. Let's say you wanted to quote three people. You'd press the multi-quote button on the first and second user's post, then on the third, you press the regular quote button.

Alternatively, you could just let it go. No matter what you do, there will be no real consequence.

Alternatively, you can click the Quote button multiple times and copy-paste the text in to one post.

You had paragraphs are more or less the right points, but you didn't leave an extra line between them. That just left it as one massive block of text that's difficult to read.
