Interactive Oddworld Project

Hey Guys!

Over the next few months I have assigned myself a project of making something interactive, but set in the universe of Oddworld.

For a better idea, here is something I made with Looshkin from Bear earlier this year:

So with that in mind, is there anything that you guys would want to see as an interactive project, using midi inputs such as Xbox Controllers, midi sliders, sound, wiimote, nanopads etc...

I was originally thinking something small like an interactive fuzzle that you prod and poke untill he gets angry and bites the mouse. Or a slig that follows your mouse and shoots when you move too fast. But I might be thinking too small.

Would love to hear some of your ideas!

I think something like this would have a limited enough fanbase without requiring a specific piece of hardware; stick to keyboard/mouse.

You obviously have a lot of general talent accompanied by some specialised talent. There's currently a project in its very early stages about "desktop Oddworld"- you may have seen it. This project and the yours seem to me as if they could coincide. You may, or may not, be interested in PMing Paul about a joint operation. I'd love to see what the 2 or you may be able to pull off.

Just a thought.

I think a little slurg crawling across my screen would be awesome, then I can squish it. Just so it can respawn and continue its never ending crawling campaign across my desktop.

Some thing like this can be achived in Flash. There is a program called SWFkit which transforms Flash movies into Windows applications. A fully transparent Flash movie that can stay on top of other windows can work quite easily.

One problem is is that I don't know if the actual app works on Windows 7 :(
