Lets discuss Ouija boards
OK, my story is.
I was staying at my friends house one night, and he and his mum are Quija Board users. He told me his experiences with it and i decided to try it out with him. We sat around his kitchen floor with the board, we did a few things to get the board ready, then we began. My friend said quietly as our index fingers were on top of the glass "Is there any spirts here tonight" .... nothing happend. After 5 minutes of repeating this the glass began to move, it moved to YES, i was exited more than anything to feel the glass move without me or my friends control. My friend then said "What is your name, can you please spell it out for us" ... it began to move to moved to the letter R, i had to stop, it creeped me out and i left the room, and i will never use one again. Because i lost my dad in a car crash and his name began with the letter R, and my friend never knew my dads name so it wasnt him moving the glass. i never mentioned this in my ghosts thread but i wast sure if i should put it up, but i changed my mind and decided to make this thread and tell you all. Yeah it was scary :( |
I think that it was trying to tell you that you should have said "Are there any spirits" instead of "Is there any spirits".

Nice one
|
Thank you.

I hate to quibble over spelling, but why spell "Ouija" with a Q? That's got to be one of the more bizarre things I've seen. More bizarre than seeing a glass or stone move on a board with several people touching it.
|
I think this is part of God's plan.
|
I've never tried a Quiji bored, always been interested in it, though. To be honest, I don't wanna crush your dream or anything, but it was probably you subconsciously moving the board to the R, you probably had the thought of your father in your head at the time.
My condolences, by the way. If you don't mind me asking, how long ago did he die? If it was recently, it would make more sense as to why you would subconsciously move the glass to the letter "R". |

The only reason i did it was because i thought it was total Bullshit. |

PuddiinLOL, please don't double post. Use the Multi-Quote button to quote multiple other posts in a single one of your own. |

well anyway, it was a freeky experience .. and im not saying it really was a spirit, it was just weird. |
I don't see a 'Q'
Also, dont we already have a ghosts/sueprnatural thread? Can't we just merge the two? |
:
and if its possible then go ahead. |
S'all good :)

I pronounce it "Wee-ja", so the joke is invalid to me. Otherwise, yes - good opportunity for smart assery there.

Also, this. Also also, PuddiinLOL, try getting your mate and his mum to Ouija blindfolded, then see what the spirits tell them. |
|
The only way a stupid cardboard with funny picture and numbers on, made by a boardgame company, would work.. Is if we could really enchant stuff using evil magic! That way you can enchant something to attract spirits or whatever... I dunno.
I don't believe that Ouija boards work, and the whole "inviting evil spirits in" thing is stupid. Anyway, it can be fun to play around with after watching horror movies. |
Ouija boards are just a mainstream divination tool. There's nothing mystical about the board itself, it's just a means for "spirits" to communicate. There are far better tools, ones that don't involve you touching it and unknowingly (or knowingly) moving it yourself. :dodgy:

Ouija was originally produced as a board game. You may as well try and talk to the dead with Monopoly.
They were originally intended to show your subconcious feelings, and were a little bit of fun at parties - just get someone to hold the cup and say 'Do you like Judith?' and things like that. |
It'd be awesome to play Monopoly with a ghost =D
|
I think I'd like to try but I'm not allowed because it's not Christian and apparently it's evil.
|
Where in the Bible does it say that using a board game to 'talk to the dead' is a sin?
|
At the back on the do and don't do section.
I couldn't care less about Ouija board's, in my experience nothing has ever happened so I just blow it off as nonsense. |
