Abe's Exoddus Save Editor
 

Hello, I'm Mattyovers and I am new to this forum, I am also from a website http://www.game-tuts.com, the creators of Modio for the Xbox 360. I am a huge fan of the entire Oddworld games (apart from SW). I have been looking around these forums for a while now and I think this is the best place to be to share my oddness. A while ago I noticed a guy was working on an Oddworld Save Editor but that was a few years back, I thought I would work on one myself and release it on here because the one the other guy was working on never got released, same with a lot of applications that people start working on here.

The save editor should be released in the next few days. I currently have infinite items (meat, rocks and bombs), change the amount of mud casualties and saved. Have invisible chant turned on or off, fart bomb on or off, have heal chant on or off and have Shykrull chant on or off. I am currently trying to find where invincible is and it may take a while. I will release a few images soon once I have the GUI looking nice.

Update: I was going to use DevExpress to make it look nice and fancy, however it has a huge impact on the file size, so I might not bother with it. Once I have all the possible things you can modify in the save and GUI complete I will release a few videos and screens.

Apart from SW? What a refreshingly new opinion. Well, good luck with this, it sounds very interesting indeed :D

There is already a AE Save Editor but its more basic then what yours can do.

Well, I didn't like it because it had no Abe or Munch in it lol, well, that isn't a very constructive reason why not to like it but I would of preferred if they had made Munch's Exoddus instead. Also, that reminded me, the editor will also support Abe's Oddysee.

I didn't mention what it will support lol, it will not support the fart or invisible, however it will support everything else. I am also trying to make it so you can set it so who/what you're controlling as (who Abe has summoned), I tried messing with this but I experienced a lot of bugs. One of the bugs were, I could control Abe and a Slig at the same time, the game did not freeze, you may think this is cool at first but it becomes very annoying because the camera locks onto the Slig, so when Abe goes out the map you have lost him unless you bring him back, however Abe walks faster than Sligs. Abe will also have no collision with barriers, so he will walk out of the screen if it is meant to end and walk through gates, sometimes when walking through the gates Abe freezes (not the game).

oh well, sounds cool, will it be available to download?

Yeah, free for everyone. I will probably have it check for updates so it is easier and so that if I ever do find out something new, you wont have to keep checking here if I have updated it.

Mmm, I'm the save editor guy, and I've already released it, years ago... And it pretty much does everything you mentioned... :P

Well his only supports Exodus anyways, you may as well get the Odyssey version released.
