Recently a game called "Alien Swarm' has been released on steam which btw is a free,online,4 players co-op game made by a very pro SDK team!
I would definitely recommend this game! It's fun, it's free, looks good,feels good,and you are able to make your own maps on SDK Source Alien Swarm!

I downloaded this game two days ago and it still won't play for me, and according to the support forums I'm hardly the only one.

I cant get the settings to stay at a good frame rate, which is strange, since I can play things like Crysis, MW2, and ME2 with a good frame rate. Source engine strikes again.

PLEASE GOD THE GAME NEEDS THIS.

Probably just Source engine being poorly optimized.

I don't have any issues with the game at all. Your computers and internets just all suck.

I agree with havoc,I can't say I got a good computer but I run this game at max settings and I have no framerate issues or any other kind of issues at all! Runs perfectly and I also noticed that there's no lagg online!

No, you just suck so much it's spread onto everyone's hardware.

My PC, despite having a somewhat decent graphics card AND an upgraded RAM still fails to run most things well. Quite annoying, actually.

The game didn't want to launch for me earlier, don't know whats going on.

there's a problem with certain graphics cards. The most likely offender is ATI, I believe, with Nvidia the least likely/

I've always wonderd what a 3rd person game would look like on the Source Engine.

Oh, well they did a fucking fine job of advertising that, didn't they.

Every day I've logged into Steam and got the annoying pop-up of the current deals, and not once did I see anything about Alien Swarm being free.

I even read about it on Wikipedia and its own Wikia. They didn't say anything about the freeness of it.

ON TOPIC: I'm a little disappointed theres only one campaign, but i reckon if more campaigns are released they might make people pay for it.

why pay? forgot about SDK?

I have an account but never used steam apart from to activate Dow2, can I still download?
