OANST 07-16-2010 01:19 PM

You couldn't have posted this in the movie thread, or the creepypasta thread?

Wings of Fire 07-16-2010 01:24 PM

Scary Movie 4 was the scariest movie because it is called Scary Movie and has the biggest number.

OANST 07-16-2010 01:34 PM

He has a pretty solid argument.

shaman 07-16-2010 02:04 PM

It would be a shame if the scariest movie was also the shittest.

Dixanadu 07-16-2010 02:33 PM

Where The Wild Things Are was pretty fucking terrifying.

Scary movies? I'd say 1984 is pretty scary... or Fahrenheit 451... Or Brazil.

Such movies never stop creeping me out.

Asian horror movie stopped scaring me long time ago. The Ring scared me pretty bad when I watched it the first time. I couldn't sleep for a week.

MeechMunchie 07-17-2010 11:40 AM

Movies don't scare me anymore. I'm just too damn manly. They can still disturb me, however. Can we discuss that instead?

Scraby 07-17-2010 12:06 PM

well do wat you want, but try watching ju-on the grudge from 2002,youll be under your bed from scaring :),i was so scared,it was midnight, everybody was at sleep and i accidentally saw this movie and watched it,i couldnt go to the bathroom of fright... and yes me too horros only disturb me but this is.......

Sekto Springs 07-17-2010 12:14 PM

I've seen both the original Ju-On and The Grudge and their respective sequels. I didn't think any of them were scary.

That movie is pretty fucking bizarre.

The only horror movie that really scared me when I was younger was The Cell, and one can argue that it's not even horror. It's just surreal.
To this day I put the original Hellraiser at the top of the totem for creatively disturbing imagery. Not necessarily scary, but definitely unique. In the world of horror these days, uniqueness is really the only thing you can go for since nothing is actually frightening anymore.

MeechMunchie 07-17-2010 12:30 PM

When I was little I was pretty much scared of anything that was both animated and creepy. I even got scared during that Simpsons episode where Bart gets his heart pulled out.

Bart 07-17-2010 08:27 PM

The current Red Lobster commercial...now that's some creepy shit, both literally and figuratively.

Pilot 07-17-2010 09:15 PM

The poor lobster.

Sekto Springs 07-17-2010 09:21 PM

The Thing.

Fuck you. I was 11 when I first watched that, freaked the fuck out of me.

Then again, I applaud you for bringing it back up since it tops my scary list. Arigatou gozaimashite...

Josh 07-18-2010 02:32 AM

Brave Little Toaster.

Dixanadu 07-18-2010 03:08 AM

Once again, fuck you.

Sekto Springs 07-18-2010 12:21 PM

The Thing freaked me out too. Especially the scene with the dog. My old dog slept in my room with me at the time and I was awake all that night waiting for it to turn into some monstrous alien and assimilate me.

Alf Shall Rise 07-18-2010 02:13 PM

I loved The Thing.

As for scariest movie, I used to be easily scared, so I'm not exactly sure what has creeped me out that most, since there are so many movies that have.
