So is Oddworld gone for good?
 

What do we think people? With the rename of OWI to Oddmobb and being that the main interest with Oddmobb is Online Social Networking other than creating games do we think that we have seen the last of anything new come out of Oddworld? I know we have the Oddbox on its way but its not new isit? And the company doesnt even have the name Oddworld in its name anymore bad times guys.

i'm very scared, but i'm not sure, god i hope they do a new game or film
based on oddworld. and i hope it's abe. but i think some time in the future, there might be a slight chance of them continuing the quintology.

If they ever make an Oddworld related game it will be Fangus Klot, and even then, they'll get someone else to make it for them.

Otherwise I can only really see the Abe's Oddysee film being the next Oddworld project (whenever that will be). If it proves to be successful and helps create financial stability for the company, they'll make the other 4 quintology films.

There's no reason why the most recent project must also become the next one.

Well, I read an interview that Lorne would like to tell that story and may get another company to make it for them. and sine there are no plans to continue the Quintology in game form, this would be my best bet for a new story-driven Oddworld game.

I hope that when the website is redone this month that it will mention a new Oddworld project in some shape or form whether it be game or movie. I hope they do make Fangus Klot everything I have heard it seems interesting.

They have the new website coming this month sometime and we know that they have it in thier plans to return to oddworld at some point since Lorne has said as much himself. There is someone on Twitter by the name of AbeMudokon that is talking about the new website and of a new game also. I dont know if its just some random person or if theres more to it but hes talked with a member of Just Add Water, which is a videogame company thats website has Oddworld Inhabitants listed as a associate of some sorts. Again it could be nothing but ive had an eye on it

Fangus Klot was deemed an April fools joke if I remember correctly. OWI isn't gone either, it's just changed form to oddmobb

It was suspected to be an April fools joke yes because of it being announced then a week later being canceled but this was only due to the creators making it more of a human story than that to Oddworld so Lorne lost interest and pulled the plug so early. And Oddmobb's interests are apparently interested in social network sites not game making. But I guess we will all see when the website is unveiled.
