These God Damn Blogs.
 

I don't know if this is happening to anyone else, but every time I try to comment on a blog it tells me that the comment is too short. I could write a fucking essay and it tells me that. A way around it is just to press back from the page it takes me to and re-enter it. Frustrating still, is there any particular reason this is happening?

Give me an example, including which blog you tried to post it in, how you were posting it (i.e.from the blog page or after clicking the 'Post A Comment' link) and what you were posting.

EDIT: Seeing as you just posted in my blog, what are you talking about?

I post it from the quick reply, and it always sends me to the post comment page, stating, your comment is too short, please lengthen it by at least one character. I just click back and it lets me post then, but never the first time. Started happening a while ago.

The 'Quick Reply' for blogs sometimes doesn't work for me; I haven't noticed any particular patternn as to why. I assumed it was a gglitch in VBulletin.

Oh, this happens to me all the time. No exception. I'm guessing it may have something to do with state management not registering that there were any words typed in? I really have no idea. But I remember when I installed VS2008 on my sisters laptop, the debugger kept giving me error messages on the blogs of OWF.

Either way, it's no big deal for me. I've become used to it.

What browser are you using? Have you tried different ones?

I have had the problem on Google Chrome; haven't tried others.

Tried on both FF and IE... On my computer and my sisters laptop too, and various other computers that I have accessed OWF with.

What skin are the affected users using?

It's been happening to me until just recently. I've been using the default Native skin.

I use Firefox, and the industrial skin. I just tried it in Safari and it worked though.

I have the same problem, every single time in fact. I've just gotten used to it honestly.

I use industrial in FF and I have never experienced this.

Maybe this is Alcar's way of marking who will be assassinated and who wont.

But which is which: do the able-bloggers have their "final treat" or are the restricted feeling an early wrath?

I swapped to the Enhanced Interface and it gave me problems with embedding videos and the problem at hand. I don't know what interface you're using but once I switched back to standard, everything went to as they were.

Wow... You're actually right. When I put the editor to Standard Mode, the blogs stopped complaining. So now we pinpointed the problem. Well done Ridg3!!

(however, I never had problems with embedding vids.)

Oh. I kinda just remembered we had the same discussion two years ago.

Yup, just switched to standard and it lets me post on the blogs just fine.

No we did, it was the same one we came to just now.

Then why the hell didnt you just tell everyone that that was the problem! >: (

Edit: If a solution came out, then why didnt anyone bother fixing that glitch!
Also, is it possible to give the standard editor a darker background than white? I currently can even use it cos it bugs my eyes too much compared to the dark color of the Industrial skin.

Edit edit: This is just further proof that Alcar is using the glitch to mark people who will soon have their last meal.

Because I'd forgotten both the existence of the 'enhanced interface' and the reason why I wasn't experiencing the blog problems everyone else was.
