I've long wanted her to become the next Prime Minister - so I am happy in that regard.

But I also liked Rudd, and thus I am rather sad. His speech, quite unpolished as it was, still moved me.

I found his speech dull and laboured. I found her speech inspiring and everything it should have been. She even threw in a ginger joke.

I really dislike both of them. Rudd becuase he is a hypocritical bogan who takes everything personally. And Gillard because of the MySchool website. My teachers have brainwashed me. I miss Paul Keating.

I was reminded of one of my teachers when Rudd spoke last night. My dad was in another room and our TV wasn't particularly loud, but he could hear his rage clear as a bell.

I found it odd that they disrupted my viewing for a news update, which bothered me as they really had nothing to report. They then started showing the next show. Not 10 mins later they cut the next show short to air the same nothing news coverage.

I really loved the scenario when Robin Williams said something about Australians being basically English rednecks (I laffed) and Rudd had a big cry and hypocritically told Robin Williams that if he wanted to see a redneck go to Alabama. Turns out the Alabamian governor is a big baby like Rudd, and in turn, he too had a cry.

Then again, Rudd is my local member so I'm looking forward to seeing him back at school graduations and stuff.

Although the quirk of the Westminster parliamentary system is that we can get a new Prime Minister without voting for her.

The media are now saying Rudd ought to quit politics. My faith in the media has fallen even further below rock-bottom.
