Rampage in the Lake District
There's been a fucking shooting in the Lake District. A place near Eskdale that I visit very frequently. Twelve dead, twenty five injured. Some nutjob of a taxi driver did it. I was mortified, because I was actually going to go up this week, so I'd be up there where he was, but decided against it because I strained my leg.

Simple, my good man. Havoc has flanderized himself.
He knows everyone hates his guts and almost nothing he does will change that, so he uses that to his advantage to fit the bill and be as much of a total prick as he can be. It's like a perverse kind of "immunity". We already hate him, and getting us to like him again will take alot more work than just continuing down this path of assholishness that comes so naturally to him. |

When i heard about this i imagined a guy with a Machine gun shooting in every direction
Then i watched the news and a Eyewitness said he was carrying a massive gun with a scope like something out off James Bond. and was almost like he couldn't hold it right. Jesus that guy must of been really angry to get a weapon like that. For some odd reason i can't Imagen it now. it must of been awful. anyway this whole event now makes me avoid taking a taxis even more then usual. |
i'm pretty sure it was a .22 hunting rifle, and a 12 bore shotgun. due to its size i'd bet the rifle was a rimfire type, and not a centrefire.
i'm simply amazed he was allowed to own a .22 rifle, to be honest. those things are for hunting, not lazy shoots on a Sunday afternoon, lamping and whatever. he would have had to own a firearms license, not just a shotgun license. a taxi driver with a firearms license? i would have thought that would raise suspicion within the local police department. |
I think that guns should only be available to farmers and the armed forces (and I'm not convinced even the armed forces use them on the people they're meant to a lot of the time). If you want to go shooting for fun, the guns should be owned by the club, and none should be taken home. No civilian (farmers excluded) should own a gun.
