Glukkon costume
Well i was planing to make a glukkon suite but the problem is the mask and the eyes, does anyone know how to make a glukkon head mask and those eyes like eye lenses?
|
Well, you could do what Alector (I think) did and make the mask out of clay and then paint it.
The suit, well, you could probably get away with cutting the arms off of a cheap, two-piece business suit. |
Damn you Sekto for posting first. I was going to talk about saving up lots of money to buy comfy couches and art-deco tables and light fittings.
|
Sorry, Nate. I'm just too damned helpful.
|
Art Deco tables?
.... Anything with shoulder pads larger than the size of a Jr. Executive will require a bit of creative tailoring unless you want to go around being a lamer. |
well i have the boots im gonna plan out the suit, clay i will try to do it but im not quite a clay modeller.ok but those eye lenses to make me look i have glukkon eyes are bugging me.Thanks for the advices :)

Why not get a cheap business suit and leave a bit of arm space, then slip in cardboard or plastic shoulder pads (be creative where you get them from) Maybe then get a large blazer and stitch bits onto the end to lengthen it.

Cut where it's red, sew where it's green. Pretty much, anyway. As for the mask, I'd say papier-mache around a balloon. |

I made an animatronic creature head that was glukkon-esque by design years ago. The colors, teeth and eyes were all wrong, though. If you dig it might be in oddworld art and lit.
I would offer to sell it to you, but I gave it to a friend a while back. |

Yes. That's actually what it was meant to be. The animatronic innerworkings made it difficult to see, but other than that it was fine. I'll dig through my photobucket tonight and repost. The head is actually sitting on a lifecast of my instructor gil's head in the picture. So, uh. Yeah.
|
That mask certainly was great, DI. I toyed with the idea of making a glukkon suit where you actually walk on your hands, but that's hard as fuck.

Awesome. I forgot it was blue.
Any video of it in action? |
No. The servos did get fucked, and the foam latex kind of distorted because of the heat of the storage unit. When I move back to Ca I can see if my buddy still has it and I can try to work on it, but that won't be for about a year and a half, so I guess I will say forget the video.

thx for help everybody :) im planning out where to get all this things in my homeland everything is expensive..... :(
|
Mother Russia? Oh Hungary, would be good to see it finished. If you have the education. (Hope that wasn't too patronising)
|
I suppose it would be very immature of me to say what I think the shape in the middle of it's forehead looks like wouldn't it?
|
A cunt? I know.
|
can i ask, does anyone know how to make molds for masks, ive found all things i could use,i found some liquid rubber at the paint store...
|
U can save a lot of your time by going to e-bay or Amazon,duh...or for the mask u can buy A shrek mask paint it grey and add some extra head size and for the eyes get 2 small eye sized lenses and paint-em yellow and add them to the mask eyes part and done
|
No you can't shrek looks nothing like a glukkon
|
Yeah really. A shrek mask? What the fuck?
|
The ears. Nothing else. Though, I would love to hear a Glukkon speaking in a Scottish accent.
|
The texan accent was enough for me.
A glukkon wearing a kilt has aesthetic appeal though, I wont lie. |

On a glukkon it would look more like a lamp shade.

U know why scotish ppl shouldn't have the abillity to fly like Superman? Because when they would fly, everyone would be able to see they're junk!
