Attachment size limit
I think the default file size limit on here is extremely low? 500kb!? I think it should be increased to 2mb..

Maybe if you pay for the bandwidth?
|
Do you think it should be increased for all filetypes? I mean, ZIPs are kinda fair enough if they're larger, but I hate it when people try to share massive, uncompressed images.

It takes thirty seconds to upload a picture and keeps quality and shit. There's really no reason not to use it for image files. |

If it isn't an image find a site with Google. External hosting is your friend.
|
Well what about zips and stuff? Everytime something is hosted externally on hotfile or whatevers its normally full of pop ups or 404'ed cause its been there for a while :(
|
I believe there are some services out there that let you host 2 gigs of stuff for free. Google around.

dropbox?

I used to use Sitesled as an internet host. Not sure if it still works or anything.
Personally I'd be happy seeing zips uped to 2mb. The current limits are extremely stiffling. Having said that, sometimes I see these gigantic images which simply cannot be less than 500kb surely? They take up more than twice the width of the screen! We need some resolution caps so that enormous images get reduced. |
|
I always thought that the BMP and PNG and stuff should be capped at bit higher like 200k higher or something.
|
Actually, BMP files shouldn't be allowed at all, because they fucking suck.

Also Photobucket works tremendously well for me. It allows me to upload whatever I want, and keep track of all my images. Unlike annoying Imageshack. Whenever I can't upload an image directly to the forum, I just use Photobucket. |
