Buying games off a drug dealer.
Hey guys haven't been on here in a while (fuckin' college brah) but I've come back for some advice!
Okay this drug dealer guy, who I had a class with in HS, has offered to sell me five video games for $120 USD but he wants me to go to his house, question is should I? I have his phone number and address so I could try confronting him if something goes wrong. I'm well aware of the laws appertaining to all this so please don't lecture me I only want your advice. BTW the games are: FFXIII, GOW 3, KZ2, GTA IV, Borderlands. |
I think it's a great idea. You can pick up some crack while you're there.

Is he gay? Does he own a gun (and/or other firearm)? Does he own a knife (and/or other kitchen utensil)? Does he own a T.A.S.E.R.® (and/or other electronic neurostimulation device)? Does he own a baseball bat (and/or any other item which may be considered to be a 'weapon' or item used to the effect thereof)? Apart from selling drugs, does he have any suspicious tendencies? Does he appear openly untrustworthy (and/or malicious)?
If you answered YES to any, some or all of the above questions, then yes, you should go into his house. |
I'd examine the cases and slice them open first. Then I'd skim the disc.
|
What drugs is he known for selling?

GOW3 as in Gears of War 3? Because that game isn't released yet as far as I'm aware...

Ooooooh... right. My bad.

you don't need a weapon in order to harm something. think about your proposal, Hazel. you're gonna go around to a drug dealers house, who is meeting up with you under his terms, and buy videogames? are games that hard to come by around your area? Jesus Christ. then again, what Kastere said. i'm probably thinking of a scenario that's much worse than it could be. but still, this is pretty stupid. |
I don't know him that well but I talked to him all senior year and he's as skinny as me (physically harmless) and I just get good vibes from the guy idk I'm probably gonna drive down there tomorrow morning and get it, I'm just worried about the games being stolen and me getting arrested for buying them but w/e you only live once.

If it feels fishy, don't go for it. You're obviously already apprehensive about it. Use common sense- if he wants to sell them that bad he'll come to you. I would NEVER go through with a deal like that with so many figurative red flags.
Be smart. |
I wouldn't do it.

Okay you guys have scared me out of doing this, that and the fact that I'd have to drive 45 minutes to get to his house apparently O.o
|
This guy may have bad intentions or may just need friends who like games like he does, outside of drug dealing. If you finally change your mind to go, take a friend with you just to be sure and tell people where exactly you will be.

I can imagine that conversation...
"Hey, going to a drug dealers house to pick up a few games, If i'm not back by five i'm probally dead." "..." "HE JUST NEEDS FRIENDS SHUT UP." |
I'd do it, I wouldn't pass up the opportunity...
Think about the situation that he might be in, unless he's growing, mixing or printing his own drugs then there's going to be an external supplier. In order for him to get drugs to sell, he's gonna need money to buy it first. If you don't give him money then chances are he's going to be a mite pissed with you... Other than that if you know the guy and he knows you, then there might not be a problem at all. |
Shut up.
|
no u
EDIT: Okay, I feel guilty about that. Memes aren't as funny when I'm the one saying them. |
If the guy was the scary drug dealer you're all trying to make him out to be then he wouldn't be trying to make a quick buck selling video games. Most drug dealers are harmless. It's the distributors you need to sweat.
