who on this board has napster and what names do ya have at napster?

Mine is Abe_Babe (someone had already taken AbeBabe... can you believe that!!!).

Although I don't get on it as much anymore as they have blocked most of the Final Fantasy songs *curse, groan, complain* (damn them!!!). Well you can still get them, but the range is not as large as it used to be as they are blocked by "final fantasy" and by song title.

But Napster is only up until the end of June, then you have to pay for it. A friend told me there is another service called Aimster, but I haven't installed it yet.

Really? Another guy took AbeBAbe? I have to meet him! OR her! Well this alternative aimster sounds good.
Just one question sometimes when you search for something popural the maxim of displayed files is 100 can ya change this? I wanna see every file!

I don't think they block files. I think that no-one goes on any more because they said they were going to.

I heard that they have a cutoff system now that lets you get 85% of a file, then gives you a transfer error. How annoying is that?!! It means that you can never get a full file!

Actually Rettick they have blocked files. Like if you search for 'Tool' it will not show any results because they have prevented you searching for this. But when you search for 'Toool' it shows many results because fans renamed the files to get around the prevented search names.

As for the 85% Transfer Error I don't think that's true. I can still download songs 100% unless the user disconnects or cancels it.

My username is 'Pacen'. I find iMesh is a good alternate download program to Napster, just not as much variety.

Napster sucks now, you can't find any songs anymore. I go to Bare share.
