Would anyone want to forget all the levels in AE and AO?

It would be good, in my opinion, if I could forget all of the levels in AO and AE so that when I complete them again it would be like a new experience and a new game. :)

Because when you complete them a few times (especially AO) they seem much shorter and easier than when you complete them for the first time and therefore are not as fun to play again.

Does anyone agree with me?

Didn't really think about it, no, I don't think so, I don't know why buy I just wouldnt

They seem faster and shorter because you keep accumulating past experience the more you play them through. No I wouldn't want to forget, I'd just leave a 1-2 year gap before playing it them again

Jango 04-04-2010 02:31 AM

Yeah, that's probably what I will do. :)

There are some games that I wish I could do that with. Mostly with some of the storylines, so they seem more of a mystery again, that'd be nice.

It would be nice, but I can think of better things to forget.

Played a lot of AE and AO, but still it would be nice forget every actions & moves!

It would have been nice to forget/never had known Stranger's true species before playing SW for the first time.

or :D

Try play exoddus or oddysee without looking screen (=as blind) :D

Anyone tried this?

enchilado 04-05-2010 07:45 AM

What Nate said. Although I haven't played SW yet.

I never want to forget how to play AO and AE. I just want to get so good at them that I can do everything WITHOUT DYING. Then, and maybe only then (which will be never) will I forget how to play.

You always die at least once in AO, trivia fans.

Wil 04-05-2010 08:32 AM

Abe does, but the player doesn't necessarily.

MeechMunchie 04-05-2010 08:33 AM

Well, duh.

Hmm? You mean the scene where Abe falls from the cliff?

I like that my correction ellicits this response.

It's a bit of 50/50 for me. It doesn't matter how many times I play the game - I still die over, and over, and over, and OVER. I doubt forgetting it would change my gameplay ability - and I'd probably figure things out as quickly as I did when I was little. It took a few tries, and after not playing it for over a decade, I still managed to go through and beat it. I do always forget the locations of the hidden Muds though, so I have to beat it twice anyway.

I forget some things, not others. So, while I still die ten million times - it's usually because I have to figure things out all over again. I have a horrible memory as it is.

I still find AO and AE hard so i would hate forgetting them

Plus that would also mean forgetting my childhood

STM 04-20-2010 09:23 AM

I would like to forget that everything was cancelled from citizen siege to Mysterious Habitales

abe is now! 04-20-2010 10:42 AM

It would be great, but also hard to find again all the secret areas :)

Yes, I would. And also I'd like to play the game again and find the mudokons in different places.

Hmm... Well I just enjoy messing around in the Oddworld universe, seeing how many different ways I can complete each level.
