Did somebody order a birthday?

It was my 14th birthday today. I've had a good day, so far. My dad cooked beautiful garlic prawns (better and cheaper than those ordered in a restaurant) for lunch, and I've, inevitably, seen much of my family. My cousin and I spent some time playing Quake 3, but other than that it's all been what is expected.

I've made a rather large profit too, as people don't generally know what to buy a 14 year old, and give him/her money instead. My grandparents have offered to take me shopping for bookshelves at Ikea. I'm particularly happy about this, as I've been complaining about lack of space in my room for a while.

2 things to note about this thread:

1. I made this thread as I recall, for reasons unknown, putting a false DOB when joining the website.

2. I feel rather proud about the clever title, but fear some people mightn't get it. Phylum, order... If that isn't enough, use google.

enchilado 03-07-2010 10:57 PM

Happy birthday, Phylum! And I get the 'order' thing; now that's what I call a joke with class.

MeechMunchie 03-07-2010 11:52 PM

Oh yes, because a Phylum is a suborder of life...

Happy birthday, friend.

enchilado 03-08-2010 01:11 AM

Well, it didn't take a genus to work it out.

Haha wow, Enchilado is witty in this thread and MA doesn't get it.

OANST 03-08-2010 05:46 AM

Happy birthday.

AlienMagi 03-08-2010 08:21 AM

I'm impressed how many people are having birthdays lately.

I wish you a good one.

Wings of Fire 03-08-2010 08:23 AM

Sex is best in summer apparently.

Oh happy birthday by the way.

MA 03-08-2010 11:58 AM

Or winter. Erm.

AlienMagi 03-09-2010 07:33 AM

Did someone mess around for his birthday Nate?

I'm not sure there are many more birthdays than usual, but it seems like more because people don't usually make their own birthday threads

Happy Birthday Phylum :D

It's Autumn here. Not Winter.

I was pointing out that not everyone's parents were in the Northern Hemisphere during conception.

It's Autumn here. Not STILL SUMMER.

Okay now you people fucking confuse me.

Well now that's just retarded, don't these people know anything about solstices?

Okay now you people fucking confuse me.

Go back and read the flow of posts. I had mentioned Winter as a hypothetical 'Getting It On' time, AlienMagi asked if I had been recently taking advantage of that classification, then I pointed out that it wasn't Winter. Perfect sense.

*shrug*

Calendar dates at the beginning of months is more convenient.

Wings of Fire 03-10-2010 03:00 AM

You misunderstood the first thing you quoted from me, but also ended up answering it perfectly in the same post.

How odd.

Nate 03-10-2010 03:12 AM

I thought you might have been implying that Melbourne is still in Summer due not having reached the equinox (rather than correcting a Summer/Winter confusion) but wasn't sure so I hedged my bets either way.

Alcar 03-10-2010 03:48 AM

Wait.

Seasons follow different periods outside Australia?

Alcar...

Wings of Fire 03-10-2010 04:00 AM

The 21st of March, June, September and December AS PER THE ACTUAL DATE.

Splat 03-10-2010 05:41 PM

Happy birthday thread Phylum.

Sorry I was late.

Nope.

MeechMunchie 03-20-2010 07:50 AM

That guy's in a CLASS of his own. Don't pick on him. Anyway, birthdays are a time for FAMILY.
