When I was banned a month ago, I wondered why. When I realized I was back I returned, and finally read a message from Nate stating that he was under the impression I try to be an annoying spammer. I've sent him a message saying that I don't. I tried to be funny, you guys thought I was annoying. I liked being called annoying so I continued failed witty-ness with a bit of intentional spamming. So it got you angry. Let's get something straight; I am not talking to you as Mars the spammer, Mars the child, or Mars the Mudoken. I'm speaking to you as a fully functional human being, and I want to be treated as one. I want no jokes, no sarcasm, no trolling nor wit from you on my request. So here it is: I want to leave.

But I know that some people here may like me, among those who would call me scum, so I've made a vote. See, I know how Ackro wanted to leave, then decided to come back and cycled through those moods, but after the month I've been gone, I've realized I'm not dependent on this site anymore for entertainment and can leave with my back turned. I've been cured of my addiction, so before I revive it I want to make sure I'm not throwing this opportunity away. So should I stay as the annoying youthful spammer I once was? Or should I walk away, a changed man. You have till the end of March. I leave it to you, my friends, to make the decision for me.

This reminds me of the ending cliffhanger in Abe's Oddysee. Question is, do out of the hundreds of users, most of them like me?

Don't let it get to you, but if it does get to you then leave. If you're a functional human being you'll be able to make the decision yourself.

I can't really say whether or not I like you MM since I hardly post here anymore and I don't know you that well. Stay if you like it here but don't spam since that's strictly against forum rules from what I've heard

Mars, I can tell you're trying to be adult about the situation, but the adult thing to do is to not ask for pity, which you're evidently doing through the emotionally charged coloration and word choice you've chosen to use in your poll. Nobody here's gonna feel sorry for you.

Why is it so important as to whether a forum of people you don't know approve of "you" or not? Is the person you present in your posts really "you?" You're in for some disappointment if you're going to choose to let people you don't even know dictate how you feel about yourself. :(

You're making this too personal. People don't hate you. They hate your spam. If you didn't spam, they would like your posts much more.

I wouldn't spend my time hating someone on a forum. But I do tend to skip MarsMudoken's posts because they are rather pointless and annoying usually.

Hasn't this already happened once (well many times) before? I remember seeing a "classics" thread about AFOS leaving, and they actually hated him from what I could see.

For once, I'm joking. Mars, don't be melodramatic. We're all mainly reasonable people. We're not going to hate someone unless they act like an idiot. Unfortunately, you do that a lot. By no means are you the only one, I'm hardly perfect myself. But if you read the rules and follow them, we'll all get along better. If you think that's out of your reach, maybe you should leave. It's up to you.

If you should choose to stay, however, don't expect any special treatment. Have a sense of humour, learn to laugh at jokes at your expense. No-one's fighting to make you stay now, and they won't for a while.

Crashpunk is an excellent example of someone who was an annoying twat that became a loved part of the community. He's admitted that, else I wouldn't say it.

We can't forget. But did your parents? I mean do they ever bother to hit ctrl+h, or are they as sick of you as we are? If I had a 12 year old spending time on a forum like this, full of people like us, I'd be none too thrilled.
