Is anyone else following this movie?

I never saw the original, but apparently Tim Burton's interpretation is quite different. It should be a good movie though, as anything by Tim Burton is awesome in my books. Another plus is that it has one of my favorite actors in it, Helena Bonham Carter. She plays an ape.

The apes look incredible, the realism is outstanding. I watched "The Making of Planet of the Apes" last night on MTV and I'll certainly be going to see it.

Hello, Sydney!

I'm with you, this movie is gonna be great!!

Planet of the Apes is one of the movies I expect to watch in Theaters next month here in my town. I already saw three diferent online trailers and a few "making of" video sequences, all in the official site: Planet of The Apes. The makeup, the great Actors, and of course, the director makes this movie a must see for every sci-fi fanatic.

I saw the original P.O.T.A, along with 4 sequels, and a few episodes of the series (all of them were made in the late 60's and 70's). It's true, the story Tim Burton is telling is very different from the original movie, but the Universe is the same: a world where Apes rule and humans are slaves.

If you didn't watch the first movie, with
Charlton Heston(the guy from Ben-Hur) as Col. George Taylor, go to a video store and rent it. I'm sure it won't spoil the story of the new one. And although it's a movie that was made 33 years ago, it still has a very powerfull story.

SYDMAN YOU NEVER SAW THE ORIGANAL????? YOU MUST BE FLIPPING MAD. THE ORIGANAL POTA IS THE BEST EVER, THE STORY LINE IS GREAT AND THE ACTING IS EVEN BETTER. THE NEW POTA WILL BE ALOT DIFFERENT TO THE ORIGANAL ONE, IT IS NOT SET ON PLANET EARTH...THAT IS PRETTY STUPID BECAUSE THE WHOLE EERRIE THING ABOUT THE DAMN POTA IS THAT IT WAS SET IN EARTH. IT WONT EVEN HAVE CORNELIUS IN IT!!!!!!! OR CEISOR!!!
