I honestly can't wait for this game to come out, it looks bad ass.

i loved AVP2 on PC; i never got bored once. and that hardly happens. so if i were into games to that degree now, i would buy this, yes.

I never played the original, but i always wanted try it.

The demo has been released today for consoles and Steam, if anyone is unaware and interested.

Tried the demo this afternoon. There's one multi map available with all three classes (is that a right word here?...) to play as. Played as Alien first, it was a bit weird at first, but once you get used to transitioning between surfaces (i.e. climbing onto walls, etc.) and sneaking up on people (had a neat Alien stealth kill on a Marine, I bet he did not enjoy it much), you can become pretty deadly.

Playing as Marine is very different from this. Loads of weaponry, ammo and stims scattered around the map, relatively slow movement and the radar beeping faster the closer the enemy is... You can get some neat kills too, but it's a whole different feeling and gameplay. I guess those who played AvP2 before already know all this, but this game is my first AvP experience. And it's great.

i downloaded the original AVP game and was severely disappointed. i had gotten mixed up between the original, and AVP2, which i played years ago and is quite old too. so yeah, that was shit. but it wasn't much money anyway. you can't even climb the walls as an alien in the original, but you can in the second one which i played. pile of poo.

I played the demo.

It sucked, Deathmatch is the worst possible multiplayer match you could have in a demo for a game which has 3 SIDES.

Now that you mention it, when I first played as Alien, I took all other Aliens for allies. Until they tore me appart. So yeh, I expected some teamwork gameplay in the demo, but it turned out to be something different.

If that's the game I remember, I was very disappointed by the facehuggers. They jumped at you, wriggled on the screen a little and left, removing only a minor amount of HP. What.

i don't know y the alien vs predator is so famous , it sucks , i hate it.
except maybe the predator movies , most crossover movies suck , but one that was cool , was Freddy vs Jason.

A Silver wouldnt even be able to do anything with this, as its multiplayer only.

What I meant to say in my earlier post is most games Im in the Aliens form an alliance not to kill each other.

Im gonna get this, it does look very good. I liked the demo but what annoyed me was whenever doing a kill move 9/10 some little shit comes up behind you and knicks your head.The kills look good but they make you very vulnerable. This annoyed me on Gears 2 also with the executions.

I played the original Alien games on ps1 and they were pretty fun, if i had this game i'd prob play as the predator though, they have the coolest weapons

It's strange, the Marines worked together, the Predators worked together, but when it comes to Aliens, it's every player for themselves.

I loved the 2 movies, the predator movie, the Alien movie series, and I loved the Aliens vs Predator 2 the game.
I can't wait for the next game called Aliens vs predator 3 that is actually coming in 3 days.

I don't like marines since they seem to be boring and everyday like, because you get to play a human in most of the games. I'm a bit more into predator at the moment, since I like it's intelligence and the way of attacking it's prey. The alien also seems very agile and deadly, but kinda reminds of an animal since it has no intelligence to build weapons and armors or anything, like Predator. So my vote goes to the Predator.

I might get this if the Alien is good. I cannot fathom why anyone would want to play as the marine, it's like choosing Human for a race in Warcraft.

Predator also seems a bit too classic fps for my taste, and I hate fpses.

Marine kinda provides the best team play, in addition to being the weakest ones. Helps add to the tension. The Predators are more stealth until you get the shoulder cannon, when they can be pretty broken.

The challenge, perhaps? The helpless feeling of being surrounded by creatures which are way more effective in low-light environments than you are, but you still fight them, no matter how much you want to run out of the room in RL?... And the radar beeping!

Judging from the poll, I'm quite alone in this. Either way, Alien is fun, while Marine is constant horror.

Sorry for double post, but akhem... Today at 6 am in the morning I was bored and installed the demo from steam. Installed, launched and OH MY FUCKING JESUS BALLS JEWISH CHRIST. The gameplay was so fucking awesome I couldn't believe it. I was playing about 5 hours when I figured I badly want this game with my life. I played all races, but Alien seems the best for me. The predator is cool as well, and the marines... I like killing them lol.
I just ordered a pre purchase version on steam and got a free game with it for 50€.
I think this game will kick more ass than half life when it came out (for me).
I also want to say I cast the wrong vote... now that I felt the actual gameplay I would DEFINITELY choose alien.

EDIT: Aliens are also sexy, and when you grab an Alien in battle while you play the Alien as well it will look like they want to kiss and make out for a sec. So very sweet.

I bought the game a few days ago. The campaign was fun, but i needed to be way longer. They also needed to give flares to the marines in multi player.
To my surprise, the marines actually kick ass, they are just as good as the Aliens and Predators if not better. Everything in multi player was fair, i just hate the stealth kills, they are so cheap sometimes.
