Holy shit... HOLY SHIT
|
fucking hardcore, and the price isn't too bad
|
That's awesome, and at a mere $110 usd pretty affordable.
|
it is pretty modestly priced. from reading a bit about it online, it takes a lot of dedication to get going properly though.
i'm seriously considering a purchase of on of these. couple it with vr goggles, and shit, that'd be intense. also fuck you pilot and your thievery of Gabe's persona. i had to look like 3 times to see it wasn't him. |

Kinda gay.

I guarantee this doesn't work as well as they claim.
Also, they don't claim to have integrated in to any real games yet. Also, just go buy this instead. |
pfft, i can't play morrowind with that.
it wont work anywhere near as much as they claim (the first thing people have to master is get this: PONG), but it is quite functional from what i can tell. well enough to control a basic FPS. |
Well at least they're taking the steps towards perfecting the technology for future games. I wonder if this thing would work with SW on steam.
|
it works as a keyboard replacement from my understanding. it'll work on anything that uses a keyboard. could be applications, not games etc
|
Hmm, well there's not a lot of details about it but it's probably still primitive commands. I don't think I can open up Word and start dictating stuff to the computer using my brain, although that would be awesome.
|
hell no, no ones doing that. i think the pros have got WASD and spacebar down.
|
I want to get both of these things. playing Doom or Quake with that would be neat.
|
That's pretty damn cool. I'm sure I'd be ejaculating if I was a technonerd.
Oh, wait. |
:
Only $110 though? Are you sure this isn't some cheap-ass chinese knock-off that will ultimately result in brain cancer? |
:
|
was waiting for someone to say something about cancer.
one flaw with that theory: it reads brainwaves, it doesn't emit them (or anything similar). |
Lol, yes I'm guessing it just uses electrodes to measure the small varying currents just beneath the skull, like an EEG then converts those currents into usable waveforms. Harmless, but prone to other electrical interference.
|
I remember that MindBall game where the less activity your brain had, the more it rolled the ball towards your opponent. If it hit your opponents end they lost, so you won by staying calm. In other words, you win by not caring about winning. Of course, when you see it roll towards your opponent you get exited, making it roll towards you.
