Backgrounds from Exoddus
My nephew's really been into Oddworld recently, and has expressed interest in painting the backgrounds and other things. I do remember a .zip or a .rar archive that contained all of the background scenery from Exoddus, but I can't for the life of me find it. If someone would be so kind as to link me to it, we would both be ever so grateful.

Someone get Paul.
|
i sware paul only did Oddysee Backgrounds.
Sorry i can't find them too. |
:
|
Nope, Paul only managed to provide us with the AO backgrounds. If there was a ripped collection of AE backgrounds, I never knew about them. Sorry mate.
|
Thank you regardless, anyway.
|
For those interested the AO backgrounds can be found here:

I'm interested! They're great :p
|
I was trying to get a lot of them, but manually removing stuff by using cheats etc. But my progress was halted by the fact that I have no idea what happened to the Abe's Exoddus CD :( It's a pity Paul wasn't able to decode the AE CAM files, that would've made it easy to get those. But for the time being it looks like the only way to do it is manually.

Is Paul on the Forums still, I saw him last month but never seen him since.
Dose anyone have his Email? |
He came back last month to announce he was abandoning his efforts, because he found the A.L.I.V.E. engine ridiculously convoluted and effortsome to decypher.
Like all members, his email is in our databases, and I have emailed him before asking if he was ever likely to contribute anything further. We since got the above answer. |
why was he working on alive? for a game
|
Because that's the game engine AO and AE use.
|
He was trying to make a level editor for AO/AE, or what Max said.
I didn't completely understand the question, but managed to cover another possible answer. |
