What an ugly settee.

Crashpunk 11-30-2009 12:12 PM

Yes it is. but thats not what i'm talking about :D

Wil 11-30-2009 12:23 PM

I mean, who in their right mind has a white, red and black decor?

MA 11-30-2009 01:14 PM

someone kill the tree. honestly. i'm sure it wouldn't want to be sat there.

its not even a tree. poor thing is being bound by the visual requirements of art deco or whatever the fuck its called.

and yes, nice AE picture. quite cheap for its size.

Dryadri 11-30-2009 01:24 PM

I want it ¬3¬ I recently ordered a canvas print, I think I'd be in trouble if I asked for another.
The room décor is a bit gross.

Guekko 11-30-2009 02:34 PM

Wow, that is huge
Much as I thinks its cool, I don't even think there is space in here large enough for that to even fit on...

Nate 11-30-2009 03:35 PM

The lines in the middle are really quite distracting. I suspect they cut the image in to nine sections, printed each one on A3 paper and glued them together.

SRSLY, you can do that yourself for half the price.

enchilado 11-30-2009 04:03 PM

I thought it looked neat with those lines :(

We've got to be the only forum where an admin sees a thread like this and comments on the interior decorating rather than the what the thread is about.

Ad yeah, it's nice. I'll've got is a tattered AE movie poster. So thankful my mom indulged me with that stuff when I was little.

Wil 11-30-2009 05:20 PM

Well, it's clearly not official mechandise, and I obviously disapprove of handing money over to some snake who's only printed someone else's shit out (and isn't legally their publisher, natch). But if I barged in here saying that, well, I'd just be being predictable. Penguin.

moxco 11-30-2009 08:57 PM

Out of interest, how did they enlarge the original image without pixelation?

Phylum 11-30-2009 11:09 PM

They shrunk the photo, I'd assume. You'll open the package to a pixelated mass that only looks half-decent 10 meters away :P

Xavier 11-30-2009 11:38 PM

The example photo is only photo shop:

Did they have to shout?

And Xav, who exactly is that in that picture?

Josh 12-01-2009 05:00 AM

Thats Jacob Black from New Moon. He has the acting power of a mop.

Wil 12-01-2009 05:01 AM

According to the link all of 16 pixels below it, it's "Jacob Black" from something called "Twilight". A mere one million hits on Google suggest he may be a character played by "Taylor Lautner".

Josh 12-01-2009 05:04 AM

New Moon is Twilight part 2. There was this whole big thing about Twilight....

Wil 12-01-2009 05:29 AM

Thinking about it, "Taylor Lautner" probably has a decor like the above.

Same poster, too. Allegedly.

Xavier 12-01-2009 06:41 AM

I just did a quick check of the other items the seller was offering...

The twilight thing is just coincidence.

Crashpunk 12-06-2009 02:11 AM

My Art print just came in the post and its awesome! it even comes with a mini poster :P
Seriously, any Oddworld fan must buy this!

Xavier 12-06-2009 02:49 AM

So, is it blurry, full of pixels or sharp?

Crashpunk 12-06-2009 06:04 AM

The poster is amazing quality Xavier, its not blurry or Pixelated at all and it printed on high Quality paper.

Seriously you should buy it.

MA 12-06-2009 09:52 AM

its nice and all and i'm pleased for you but stop telling people to buy it. i'm not going to put money into a persons pocket for cashing in on OWI for something that could actually be done by oneself anyway. it isn't official OWI merchandise.

its good, i like it. just saying. i'm not trying to put a downer on things.

Sekto Springs 12-06-2009 01:47 PM

lulz, has anyone considered that crashpunk is the one selling these prints and this is all a big scam? ;)

enchilado 12-06-2009 01:51 PM

/me doubts it.

Sekto Springs 12-06-2009 04:49 PM

Meh, I'll buy it. I tend to make my own little Oddworld posters to stick to my wall anyway. This is just the same thing on a bigger scale, and it's cheap enough that I won't feel violated by paying for it.

I'm not so anal as to keep from enjoying OW content just because it's not official. The picture is official, and Lorne isn't really losing any money since there are no "official" alternatives available at this point.

yeah, could you try to be a bit less offensive with your use of words, or at least their arrangement? i took that as you suggesting i was being 'anal' about not wanting to fund a stranger over the net for unofficial merchandise.

it doesn't anger me when people do it, and i'm anything but elitist about OW, i said that because it bugged me how Crash was more or less selling the product himself by praising it up so much. like Nate said, it could actually be done yourself, or for free by someone who gives a shit.

Sekto Springs 12-07-2009 10:38 AM

I don't have the time, energy, or the resources to do that myself.
And thinking about it, I actually couldn't. Heavy card and glossy paper isn't cheap, neither is getting high quality images printed for you, and my own printer sure as hell does not have the capacity. I also don't have access to an office environment that may provide such services for free.
