Another great Mario game! I've been exsited about it since 09 E3 and I'm getting it for Christmas It looks awesome. :D

What do you guys think about it? :fuzconf:

IT IS VERY GOOD

I pre-ordered it (because it came with a free mario hat(not for sale)).

In Australia it came out on the 12th of november, making us the first country to get it.
I completed it in 3 days on my first try by finding 2 warp cannons without even trying.
the levels are harder (compared to the DS original), but the secrets are much easier to find. It is still a great game.
if you're a fan of smb3 and mario world/2, two words will come to mind: fan service.
the koopalings, the airship fortress, riding yoshi, mecha koopas, old-school toad houses, smb3 style item storage, the secret world, animal costumes, yoshis island boss cutscenes, enemies on the map screen, the list goes on....

there are a FEW bad things though, player one can only be mario(no more luigi cheat), no more mega mushrooms, you can only use yoshi on the levels you get him on, the mini mushroom is only "useful" on TWO levels (only one of which will get you a star coin (the other is an unneeded shortcut, which really tones down the challenge.). But it is still one of the best 2D mario games ever.

As I said in the other thread, I have bought it, but haven't played it. Abbey's birthday is the 17th of December, and I will give it to her then.

Do you guys have any idea how hard it is to give a kid an adequate birthday eight days before Christmas? This time of year is fucking expensive.

I have a friend who's birthday is on New Years Eve or New Years day.

My little brother's birthday is on the 27th.

Just buy what you would normally for a Christmas, then split it between the two dates.

I always felt sort of inferior to my sister because she always got big birthday presents, but mine were always smaller because my birthday is so, close to christmas... *sigh*...

Dunno... Presents dont really have to be expensive... Just give her something she really wants. Something that will make her equally happy on both her birthday and christmas.

My birthday's on the 13th, and I get what I assume is normal for a birthday. Lucky me.

I think my dad has his birthday 8 days before christmas as well.

On topic, no, I won't buy this. I am the worst mario game player in the world. I have never beaten a single one, much less bought one. Mario Kart is a bit of a different story though.

I love Mario games, as well as those of similar styles such as SuperTux and the Secret Maryo Chronicles.

I've never played too much actual Mario though. I can't load the movie, what's this one called?

Yeah same here! My birthday is March 23rd and last year as a leap year so easter sunday was on my birthday! I got a easter egg saying happy brithday on it XD

This game looks pretty cool, I found the original DS version fun, so this is bound to be pretty fun as well. I'll put it on my list of wanted games. ;)

True. I'd say then just buy everything in the same day, but buy alot, then split it. I dont see a reason to go out twice unless something comes out between the two dates ,or they were out of stock of something and you have to go back later.

I don't separate which gifts are for what by trips. I just buy twice what I think I would normally buy and split it into two gift giving days.

Eh, I always had about £50 worth for my birthday and £100 for christmas, this decreased throughout my teen years and the total value of gifts was the same for both me and my brother when I was sixteen and he was nearly twenty.

I'll probably end up spending between 5 and 600 dollars for the two events.

Im such a spoiled brat. My Christmas is usually easily over $300. My birthday under $100 though most times.

It's helpful for me that there are five pay days in the month of December this year. That leaves me an entire check to do Christmas related things with.

This looks like a good game. I liked the DS version so i'm sure i would like this one. My Auntie was born on christmas. She hates getting birthday cards!
