I am pleasantly surprised at how fun this game is. I had zero hopes.

I am not surprised at the quality of this thread however.

My housemate got it. I have been enjoying it, but not sitting on it for hours on end like some people I could mention.

Did anyone here see the specs for the PC version:
Limited to 18 player servers - fail
No dedicated Servers - fail
No anti-cheating support - fail
No mods or user created content -fail

This leaves me with one thing to say: Activision fucked up!

Didn't they fix all of these things in MW1?
I can't subject myself to that shit anymore. I like to think I'm not one of those fucking ragefags but goddamn does IGN get me going.

I like COD's singleplayer, never been much of a fan of the multiplayer. What I experienced in Modern Warfare 1 is that multiplayer games are hectic as hell and if you don't look over your shoulder every single second you will receive a bullet to the head.

I haven't played MW2's multiplayer yet though, might change my mind about it then. But it looks to me like they messed PC multiplayer up good.

Even being somebody who really dislikes the hold that FPS games have over the industry at the moment, I can't really think of ANY sitaution at all where MW2 is worthy of 0.5/10.

Seriously, the only reviews I've ever read that were more polarizing are reviews for Naruto or Smash Bros games.

I think that a great deal of humanity is going to disagree. That game sold faster than a Jessica Alba bukkake video at a comics convention.

I actually partially agree with you. I do not enjoy the ones set in the modern day war. It feels like they're trying to cash in on the current situation, which is horribly morbid.
I must admit, though, I enjoyed the World War 2 games quite a bit.

I've never played any of them (they aren't my type of game), but a lot of people seem to like them.

They're a critical and commercial success, regardless of personal feelings they are pretty good.

I could never really properly get into them. It all seemed a bit old after a while, but I did rather enjoy one or two of the older ones that I had played up until I'd gotten near the end of them.

I loved Call of Duy 3 because it was about the world war, I hate new games about the modern warfare, especially if in that game everyone is YOUR (MoH) bitch.
