I bought April the newest iPod for her birthday. Is anyone aware of any cool apps that she might enjoy on it?

I was actually aware of that one. I'm not sure......She might like it.

You can get her a shitton of games (like Crystal Dfenders, etc..) There's an app that generates different frequencies that actually makes insects keep their distance from you, acts as a god whistle, etc...
There's an entire French English dictionary, a scientific graphing calculator, honestly the list goes on.

I'm thinking I'll buy a 16 GB iPod touch when I get the money. They\re just so unbelievably handy.

I don't have a problem with the fact that everyone has one. I hate the fact that people always pull their iPhones out in the most ostentatiously dramatic way, to make sure that everyone around sees that they have an iPhone. And then all the other iPhone owners congregate around, to discuss how brilliant they are.

Cool as the little gadgets are, I've gotta agree. This one guy I know, chubby little indian kid who really needs an attitude adjustment, did exactly this at this party I went to. It would be one thing if he showed it off, but ohhhh noooo, he showed to to every single fucking person there.

Pretty much sums up my beef. And the fact that I don't like Apple as a company. Not because of the ancient old Microsoft vs Apple thing, I genuinely don't like how they do things. I don't like how they force you to download iTunes to use your iPod. I don't like how they make you pay for apps they didn't even make. I don't like how they try to control the apps installed on the iPhone, deciding which apps are and aren't legal. And most of all, I don't like paying tons of extra money just because it has an Apple logo on it.

Oh, and I don't like exploding phones. I'm pretty big on that, you know, stuff in my pocket not exploding or melting because the company thinks they can stuff a NASA space computer into a 2 inch compartment.

If I come across more useful/interesting applications, I may consider purchasing one of these phones. I never anticipated that I'd hear myself say that.

really cant see myself ever getting one. for me to buy one the applications would have to be really useful. until then i'll stick with my mobile.

The one about the insects sounds really useful for when I visit the Wasdale in the Lake District. Might keep those bastard midges off me at night. I use a green net that's designed to go around my head at the moment. I look a right pillock.

Unless an app comes out that allows me to drive my car by remote, I'm not interested. So I'll probably get one by the time I finally buy that sexy Lexus I've been wanting for ages.
