shaman 11-05-2009 06:28 AM

Hostel, more gore than a bomb in a butcher's shop.

Disgruntled Intern 11-05-2009 06:40 AM

My bloodiest moment would have to be seeing someone hemorrhage blood out of their anus and urethra.

I did not love it.

abe619 11-05-2009 06:47 AM

I forgot to post mine.
Games:
Mortal Kombat ofcourse is number 1.

Half-Life 2.

Quake 4/Doom III.

POSTAL 2

Movies:
Saw

Friday the 13th

Matrix Revolution

And

i had this dream where my hands where tied behind my back and some jerk was eating it with a PLASTIC fork.

OddjobAbe 11-05-2009 07:32 AM

I liked it when Pingu and Robbie tore the fish's skin off, picked out the meat, and ate it.

Slig-13 11-05-2009 08:34 AM

oh yeah, and the bloodest film i saw recently was Halloween (2007) which is Rob Zombie's remake....it was actually amazing :D fan of his work (films and music) if you haven't seen his movies, i recommend House of 1000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects ;D

MeechMunchie 11-05-2009 08:43 AM

Film: Saw or The Final Destinastion
Game: TF2 has loads of comedy gore.
Moment: When I suffered from severe rectal bleeding because of some bowel disease, when I tore off all the skin on one of my fingers, or when I tripped and skidded(?) along a tarmac pavement on my eyebrow.

MA 11-05-2009 10:18 AM

every time the knackerman has a shotgun instead of a bolt gun.

i do not like it.

slig# 5719 11-05-2009 10:52 AM

off the top of my head:

Game:
Manhunt

Film:
Hellraiser trilogy

Moment:
when I was little I climbed on top of one of the wheely bins and it slipped and I fell into the other wheely bin which caused my top gums to swell and would bleed over anything I ate.

Sekto Springs 11-05-2009 11:24 AM

Hostel had gore? I must have missed it.
Clearly you nobs aren't familiar with Peter Jackson's early work.

Hobo 11-05-2009 11:30 AM

What the fuck is wrong with you OP? If anyone posts gore in this thread they're getting banned.

Sekto Springs 11-05-2009 11:30 AM

Sounds...interesting. O.o But for me umm...

Game:
MO...throwing sligs in the blender was thrilling.

Film:
Saw, all of them! Fucking amazing! That and House of Wax, it's a must see because Paris Hilton gets slaughtered.

Moment:
Last month sometime, I was bitten quite nastily by one of my rats across the knuckle on my index finger. The bowl of water I bathed it in was very red at the end of it all and I passed out a few times xD
That and when I was dragged across gravel face first on the end of a lead attached to my friend's dog, very bloody but an amazing ride!

Stop trying to be an elitist snob. I fucking hate the whole 'Peter Jackson's early work' shit. It doesn't matter who made it. They're good movies, with or without his name attached. Nob. ha.

If it wouldn't be a horrendous page stretch, I'd post this. Guess you'll just have to settle for the link.

It kind of matters who made it. If that sick fatso didn't conjure up those twisted ideas in the first place, we would be without them.

Also, saying his name as opposed to listing all the titles prompts some of these dingles to do a little research.

Are there two 'g's in "dingle"?

Disgruntled Intern 11-05-2009 04:31 PM

Just one.

You know what I meant when I said it doesn't matter who made the films. Don't be a cunt.

Also, your research will just lead them to spout off the same 'Peter Jackson's early work' bullshit. It's just stupid. Like, 'Yeah, I bet you saw King Kong, Lord of the Rings and District 9, but did you Knowwwww about his other, dark and violent stuff? NO?!? HAHA I AM BETTER THAN YOU NOW'

Atleast that's how I've always heard it presented when I've actually heard it and not read it. If I'm the one being the cunt, blame print.

Sekto Springs 11-05-2009 04:46 PM

No cunting of any variety was intended. I can't vouch for bastardry though.

Nate 11-05-2009 05:12 PM

DI: How should have Sekto Springs referred to that set of films that Peter Jackson directed with a lot of gore in them? Can you think of a simpler classification than "Peter Jackson's early work"?

I did work experience in the coroner's court. I spent a little while going through the files, finding photos of people who had died in interesting ways. Turns out it's true about people releasing their bowels as they die. As for the suicide victims who had blown off half their faces; my first thought was "That just looks like a crappy makeup job. I've seen grosser things on tv".

Nate, its fine. Srs. I see where he was coming from.

Bullet Magnet 11-05-2009 07:10 PM

I don't like it when gore is included for gore's sake. I am not a huge fan of gore. That said, if someone sustains an injury in a show, game or film with pretenses of realism (ie not overtly cartoony or aimed at children) it had better be realistic (not that I or many other people are qualified to tell when all we get is Hollywood. Reality is unrealistic.)

However, I do enjoy gibbing and Gears' chainsaws. I do hate them grubs.

Sekto Springs 11-05-2009 08:35 PM

You kidding? Pointless gore is one of life's few pleasures. Thing is, if you're going to do it, do it all the way and don't be a pansy (Hostel).

Disgruntled Intern 11-05-2009 09:09 PM

Nate: being that this is a thread based on specifics and not generalizations, I think naming the movies would have been a bit more suitable.

I'm replying to this via qwerty cell phone magic as my power is out, and I've still found the time to list 'brain dead, bad taste, and meet the feebles'.

Leto 11-06-2009 01:13 AM

that pretty much covers it rly.

For me, gore is something I am made of, not a hedonistic pleasure. That seems far too Lovecraftian-apocalyptic.

OANST 11-06-2009 08:48 AM

I'm not so big on gore, but goddamn do I love viscera.
