Space hotel 2012

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33579859...ace/?GT1=43001

I would so pay $4.4Million to stay here.
Any thoughts?

OANST 11-02-2009 01:56 PM

Can't wait to take my next vacation there. In my next life. When I'm reborn with money.

used:) 11-02-2009 02:08 PM

Grillin' on the thermosphere.

OANST 11-02-2009 02:10 PM

Throw another space shrimp on the thermie.

shaman 11-02-2009 02:25 PM

There is absolutely no way that this is worth 4.4 million.

I'm glad to see the space industry moving "onwards and upwards" as it were, no pun intended. But 4.4 mil?! Just how much does it cost to keep people up there? Yeah i know its a lot, but come on .... 4.4 mil?

pffffff...

OddjobAbe 11-02-2009 02:28 PM

I wouldn't want to go there even if I could afford it. Despite how far they say they've moved on, I'd like to keep my feet on the ground they were meant for.

shaman 11-02-2009 02:29 PM

I'd leap at the opportunity, but not for that kind of money.

OANST 11-02-2009 02:29 PM

I want to ejaculate IN SPACE!

OddjobAbe 11-02-2009 02:31 PM

That raises an interesting point - I wonder how many amateur porn videos will be made there and then circulated on the internet?

I can see it now.

Does anyone see the connection between this and the 2012 doomsday theory?
Space port that only the richest, most prudently invested people can afford.
Far away from earth.
Estimated time of completion is 2012.
Come on, people... its fucking I-ZOD!

used:) 11-02-2009 08:18 PM

It's probably that damned NWO again.

Pilot 11-02-2009 08:19 PM

Yeah, they're always thinking of some scam to get all the elite off the earth in time.

There is no 2012 doomsday theory.

mr.odd 11-02-2009 09:39 PM

It's the Mayan calander theory. According to that, the world ends in 2012.

Havoc 11-02-2009 10:01 PM

Shut up, the world is not going to end in 2012. Biggest fucking hoax since the dawn of time.

And even they're getting tired of that silly misconception.

Read the article. It's not just the cost of keeping people up there, it's the cost of getting people up there. Plus 8 weeks of 5-star accomodation on a Caribbean island whilst they're in training. Plus I'm the insurance fees are absolutely massive.

Plus a pretty hefty return on investment for the guy who's stumping up 3 billion dollars to pay for the thing.

It's that bald guy from "Contact."

Join a new league of mile high club.....

I'd never go. I don't trust space. Too big and spacey. Imagine dying cold and alone out there *shivers*

Wings of Fire 11-03-2009 12:16 AM

Statistically you're more likely to die in a car crash than a rocket explosion.

Sekto Springs 11-03-2009 03:58 AM

Only those who fear the 2012 doomsday reckoning would go out of their way to say it doesn't exist.
Of course it doesn't fucking exist. Lawd.

Here.

The dawn of time wasn't a hoax.

ICE BURN

Havoc 11-03-2009 04:42 AM

Yes it was. Time never began. It was just there.

Bullet Magnet 11-03-2009 05:12 AM

Don't make me come in here.

Furthermore, time is relative depending on the gravity of an object. And Uranus is a sun.

So what? Why is their guess any better than anyone else's? The Ancient Egyptians thought the world would end in 2006.

Space porn wouldn't work very well because low gravity makes it harder to get an erection (More pressure is required to make the penis fill with blood). One can but dream... There is actually a giant block of ice inside the sun, but it doesn't melt because it is protected by it's electromagnetic field.

slig# 5719 11-03-2009 08:24 AM

wow $4.4m i'll probably never have that much money, maybe it will be cheaper 50 years from now, might be a bit too old to go into space by then though, but you never know.

I've heard about the mayan 2012 thing but I don't think it will destroy the world maybe some major global event or something but not THAT extreme.

Space porn: someone will try to do it.
