'Nother Slig
 

So, I scrapped the other slig (Sorry if anyone was looking forward to seeing it finished. I might pick up on it some other time, but at the moment I have nicer looking art projects in the works.) and started drawing my W@RF OC instead. An IRL friend has commissioned a generic slig with a Blitzpacker and a riot shield, and I have numerous non-Oddworld related artworks in the making, so I'm going to be quite busy.

Here's what I have of this 'un so far. Still quite a bit of work to go (Especially on that gun, it just looks like two pipes glued together at the moment) but it's looking better than the last one.

By the power of Ode... that is one amazing picture. I love the little details like the scar, missing face-tentacle, and (eeek) a missing finger! Her chest muscles look nice though :D

I like the look of the facemask and the new-gen pants too.

Ah, but 'tis a girly slig XD; And yeah, her backstory involves roughing up a Big Bro, hence the missing body parts :) Glad you like it, I shall try to finish it ASAP!

Whoa, that is really brilliant!!! I miss so much quality art in this place!

It's really great in its half-way stage, too - the mix of art really adds something! If'n'when you do finish it, don't delete the half-way version!!!

Oh, and I don't know if you remembered or not that slig's fingers are all different lengths; there are some pictures that really showed it clearly. I don't know, maybe you did get the fingers right, but if my memory serves me right (which it might not) then the injured finger might be about as long as that finger actually should be unharmed.

@Splat. The middle finger ends about halfway. It looks like the very tip of the nail has been shot off, but you do have a point. Yeah, be sure to finish it soon please :D

I'd be more concered with the 5th face tentacle ;)

@Alex: Ooops XD; Thanks for pointing it out, I'll remove the tentacle with the least amount of shading and make the damaged one a bit thicker :p

@Splat: Perhaps I should remove a bit more of that middle finger... I checked a reference image and yes, you're right, it's pretty much the same length.

Well, back to the drawing board :D

It seems a shame that she's got a finger shot off. Maybe you could put a bandage on it? Or give her a little robotic finger-end?

Maybe the female Sligs all have 5 face tentacles? Whether you want to get rid of one is up to you. Those Slig Pants look fantastic. They'll look awesome when they're done.

It's Oddworld, not StarWars. And her name is Skelros. Good grief Alex, it's a swamp-slug with arms! Do you ask for the phone number of anything that wears a bra?

Robotic replacement limbs have been used countless times in Science Fiction. Would she honestly walk around with exposed flesh showing?

I was joking about the phone number bit! If I didn't like the appearance of Sligs (male or female), I probably wouldn't draw them in the first place. It would be quite unfair to say that all aliens are ugly and all humans are beautiful, it just doesn't work out like that!
