Well I think when i was little i played so much Oddworld that the cool evil glukkons smoking got me into it when i was older. Damn you Oddworld! Any who who here smokes cigarettes regardless the adverse health risks and social frowning upon?

shaman 08-16-2009 03:16 AM

I don't really know which one to vote for, since i only smoke on occaision.

Psychocath 08-16-2009 03:25 AM

Chainsmoker here. Hand-rolled cigarettes.

Jordan 08-16-2009 03:28 AM

No, I think the idea of smoking is disgusting. I don't plan to, ever.
I do like the smell though, 'cuz I'm weird like that.

OddjobAbe 08-16-2009 03:47 AM

I hate the smell. I like the smell of cigars, though.

Fuzzle Guy 08-16-2009 03:56 AM

Hmm. Well, I voted Ewww those are for noobs, being under the impression that it meant only useless teenagers smoke because they have no hope in life. However I now believe it to mean No, those are for noobs, I smoke the real shit, man!

Xavier 08-16-2009 04:53 AM

I don't smoke. Never even tried actually.

Laser 08-16-2009 05:10 AM

Nope, never.

I have seen what it can do to your body and it makes me sick.

I have no problem with peeps smoking weed though

Bullet Magnet 08-16-2009 05:25 AM

I'm watching my grandfather die very slowly from the effects of his smoking. I am so incredibly opposed to tobacco.

MA 08-16-2009 05:29 AM

i used to smoke, but then someone put the fire out on my head.

eh?

Nate 08-16-2009 05:41 AM

I grew up in a very anti-smoking environment because my grandfather died of lung cancer before I was born. So, no.

Also, I suspect that if I tried smoking, I'd probably become very addicted very quickly and I really don't like the thought of being utterly dependant on some external object like cigarettes.

Smoking is bad for you.

MeechMunchie 08-16-2009 07:21 AM

Just making sure you all know that.

MeechMunchie 08-16-2009 07:52 AM

I hate the smell. I like the smell of cigars, though.

This. It makes me feel like some kind of Magician made out of punches.

Pilot 08-16-2009 08:49 AM

I've had cigarettes on several occasions, mainly when out socializing, but I learned to puff on them like cigars because inhaling them I find to be stomach turning and always makes me sick. So no, I don't smoke cigarettes.

I do like those little flavored cigars though.

And I also keep some weed on hand for when my lower back starts hurting. It helps me sleep.

OddjobAbe 08-16-2009 08:53 AM

I forgot to mention that I especially hate sugar cigarettes.

They're too hard to light.

Smoking is for losers.

Pilot 08-16-2009 02:16 PM

And steroids are for winners.

AlexFili 08-16-2009 02:19 PM

In my opinion only Sligs & Glukkons should be allowed to smoke.

Pilot 08-16-2009 02:40 PM

*cough*

MA 08-16-2009 02:56 PM

smoking isn't cool. at all.

shaman 08-16-2009 02:57 PM

A menthol Cigarette is like smoking a polo...

Majic 08-16-2009 02:57 PM

I'm quitting at the moment, I need all the money I can nickel and dime to spend on good old fashioned ganja instead. I'm back down to as many stogies a day as I smoked a few years back (between 2-4, one when I wake up and one before bed, maybe a couple during the day). It's not so much the nicotine that sucks to give up (nicotine is a shitty ass drug compared to anything else), but mainly the habitual act of smoking in social settings, or with coffee in the morning and whatnot.

mr.odd 08-16-2009 03:09 PM

i never smoked. Surprisingly those anti-smoking commercials worked. That and the fact my grandpa did and seeing them finally take an effect on his body. 70 years old and I'm surprised that he hasn't died of lung cancer.

He finnaly quit, but he still has trouble breathing.

Majic 08-16-2009 03:31 PM

I lost my faith in the anti smoking commercials after I smoked weed and made the revelation that marijuana isn't the menace its respective ad campaigns make it out to be. Or the classic "this is your brain on heroin" (not that I'm advocating heroin use, but I've never felt like my brain is a trashed kitchen while under the influence of opiates- you just feel really good). Silly, perhaps, but once you realize you've been lied to regarding some of the "harder" drugs, it doesn't seem that absurd to smoke a cigarette.

Ironically though, after parading through pretty much every drug class available to me (I've still never come across PCP or crack rocks, white suburbia ftw), I'd have to say tobacco is probably the substance most truthfully and realistically portrayed in anti-smoking/drug campaigns. It really is a comparatively stupid substance to use; chain smoking in particular is a magnificent waste of health for very little satisfaction. I don't understand how I ever got up to a pack a day (until I started hand rolling to minimize the cost), or how other people can so easily surpass even that quantity. So naturally, society continues to romanticize tobacco use and allow it to remain an easily acquirable substance regardless of age. Personally, I find it mind boggling.

Truely crazy how they still allow them to be sold, I would say its for population control. Why else would they sentence people to be locked away for weed while us smokers are out here killing ourselves slowly on something 100x as potent? But yes after some of the harder drugs a cigarette is actually very soothing on this ride of life. Who wants to live to be 80 anyways...?
