Save copy of private message - Opt Out
 

Can we have the default option of sending messages not to save a copy automatically? It's annoying having to delete all the sent messages I've sent but forgot to untick the box. All it does is waste space.

You can leave in the option for people who like it, but I would prefer the default to be NOT to save the private message you sent to someone.

I’ve checked the vB options and I can’t find anything relevent. I have to say if there’s only a universal option that affects everyone, it will have to stay as it is. It may be irritating to have to delete sent messages to clear enough space, but at least you can do that if you want. If someone wants to keep a copy but forgets to check the box, there’s nothing they can do.

I remember trying to break it by filling my inbox to the then mod max of 300, and then demodding.

Holy Slig Tentacles! 25000 is a lot of messages. Perhaps a figure of 1000 would be more appropriate?

In vBulletin 3.7 and up the option to opt out of sent messages being stored is present on an individual basis. Next to that, I'm sure there's a plugin that does that floating around somewhere.

But 25000 PM's works too.

We have so much disk space its not funny. I'd allow unlimited PMs if it were possible, but vBulletin is set up it only accepts a maximum limit.
