real comedy
ok folks tell me the comedy you like not cartoon the real comedy such as reddwarf and my family my one is reddwarf
|
Does it have to be a show? If not, then I say Royal Tenenbaums.
|
Stop posting thumbnails everywhere why don't you listen to a word that anyone fucking says!
Mine would be "Only fools a horses" or "8 Out Of 10 Cats". |
Whooooo... *Tumbleweed*
EDIT: Holy crap! Three people posted at the same time! I'm surprised anyone actually cares what glukkonlulu wants to know. I just thought no-one wanted to post. |
I'd rather eat shit than watch Red Dwarf.
I like Malcolm in the Middle. Also don't mind old comedies like Only Fools and Royle Family. |
:
Everytime he posts he adds about 10 seconds to the page loading time, so as long as he dosen't post here much it's cool. |
MAN WHAT GLUKKON SAID WAS AMAZINGLY DEEP MAN... :tard:
Anyway I do like Blackadder and Green Wing, damn amazing programs. Oh and A Bit Of Fry And Laurie, that is cocking hilarious |
:
EDIT: Oh, and I like That Mitchell an Webb Look, quizcoms, Blackadder, Monty Pythons Flying Circus, and more that I can't remember. |
I've seen That Mitchell and Webb look. It was pretty damn funny. Numberwang is the best game show ever.
|
Mitchell and Webb are among my favorites. I especially liked Peep Show.
Blackadder's great, as is Only Fools, Fawlty Towers, Monty Python, anything with Vic Reeves, Armstrong and Miller, Flight of the Conchords, Rab C Nesbitt, Father Ted, Have I Got News For You, Live at the Apollo, and many other shows which I believe I may as well not name, as this list is shaping up to be pretty long. And My Family is an unfunny piece of shit. At least one of the actors has stepped up from that and entered adverts instead. That's much better than acting for My Family. EDIT: I also forgot QI and the recent Kingdom. Stephen Fry is always good for a laugh, as is Jack Dee who acted in an episode of Kingdom with Fry. |
Mine is Blackadder.
If Glukkonlulu sticks around till he's like 16, it's gonna be so funny for him to look back on his first few posts. |
Frasier is my favourite Sitcom. It was a witty show of good quality yet also managed to pull off emotion and drama often for whole scenes without a single joke. It was a very unusual sitcom.
Blackadder is an obvious classic. The Inbetweeners is a brilliant sitcom. It is remarkably realistic and for that reason, it is like watching a TV show where somebody has filmed you out with your mates. It's like The Office (You know, the good, British version) but for teenagers. Top Gear is an awesome comedy show as well. Although it's format is a motoring show, it isn't really anything to do with cars. The show is brilliant because of the chemistry between Jeremy Clarkson, Hamster and James May. The show is like watching a lad's nights out, and it is easy to believe that this could be you with your mates if you were given a quarter of a million pound super car each to do whatever you please for a day. The pinnacle of comedy films, in my opinion, is Shaun of the Dead. Rather than go for low, childish humour like so many comedy films do these days, they went for a realistic movie in which the characters are trying to make each other laugh. It is again that situation where you can imagine that you're watching a documentary when you're out with your mates, but zombies attack. All of the best comedy films have had characters that we can all relate to, in unusual circumstances. This has what makes them the "classics" they turned out to be. Comedy Films such as The Hangover tried to do this, by not casting big stars to make it a movie about the average American Joe, as though you could be that character... but that moronic bloke stopped the film from achieving this. |
Yes Top Gear is so fucking hilarious, did you ever see "Top Ground Gear Force"?
|
When they completely ruined Sir Steve Redgraves garden without his knowledge? Yes. It was hilarious. I don't know what all the fuss and controversy was about though, even though Redgrave didn't know about it himself and was furious when he found out, his wife had given them permission to film it and she even watched as they destroyed the place...

And how are cartoons not real comedy?
|
I almost asked that myself, but replace "real" with "live action", and it sounds much better.
|
:
I also prefer fake comedy. It's not real and... I like that. |
:
I have enjoyed all of Wes Anderson's films, but Royal Tenenbaums was definitely my favorite. |
Arrested Development, motherfuckers.
|
I forgot about Frasier, damn that is one funny program (apart from when Daphne's brother Simon and thier mum was in it, it was shit then)
|
:
Whereas Anthony LaPagia's accent for Simon was criticised for being cockney and not Mancunian, Daphne's accent herself was not that of a someone who grew up in Manchester. |
:
Also when Niles and Daphne got engaged/going out, I thought it the quality dipped slightly. |
:
I'd still, more than anything, love for them to do a Christmas reunion episode. Did you see the Dr Pepper advert Kelsey did in September? It shows he can still play Frasier and clearly has an interest in the character enough to return to him after four years. I'd like to see a Christmas special. |
It shows that he clearly likes money.
|
:
You sir, Have just won the internet That was awesome, pure awesome |
:
He was paid a million dollars an episode for Frasier. I'm pretty sure he loves playing the character :p |
Darjeeling Lmtd. was ok, I guess.
|
Demetri martin. I prefer his stand up specials but his own series is alright too.
Daily Show and Colbert Report. I also like the stand up of Lewis Black, Kathy Grifin, Eddie Izzard, and Gilbert Godfried. |
1 million dollars an episode is an insane amount of money, though he is good in them.
