Jak & Daxter
I'm a sucker for platform collectors and while I don't think Oddworld should be this kind of game J&D isn't Oddworld so game on!!
I've been playing the demo on the latest PS2 Underground disc (along with the FFX demo, tsuyoshi!) and am enjoying the little chunk thoroughly. Even though it features a creature climbing on the main characters back it's NOT a Banjoo game...PS2 owners if you haven't checked this game out please do so. |

I got the demo of it and I think it's awesome! The demo level is a huge, outdoor area that feels alive. It's definitely worht checking out.

I'm really looking forward to J&D. I haven't had a chance to play the demo, but the videos and written previews are fantastic. Apparently, the OPS2M guy who got to play the demo stayed in the office playing it 90 minutes after everyone else had gone home! |

I finally found a store that had it in!!
I love you GameZone!!!! and you know what else I love...? THIS GAME!! Jak & Daxter: The Precurrsor Legacy is incredible!! I played it for three and a half hours today and I didn't even realize ten minutes passed...there is just so much to do, this shall tide me over till X-Box, err X-Mas rather... I'll Miss You Guys! |
Well I'm taking a dinner break (Mmm, Pizza) and was checking up on stuff...
It seems Alcar-san has taken the reigns for a better Oddworld... Well when I haven't been sleeping, eating, or at school i've been playing this game. I got it yesterday and now i'm at 74%. Must Play More! OH DAMN I have to go out with my girlfriend tonight! (j/k) |
I enjoyed this game so much I got 100% on within three days...
But now I'll play it in the FOUR other languages it comes in: English (first time, French, Italian, Dutch, & Spanish. To bad they ommited the Japanese version from the final American release. That would have been so great for me. Ah well, I wonder if the Japs get any of the other languages besides English? Wouldn't imagine they need Italian, French, and Spanish in Japan, but oh well... |
Man, 100% in three days? Must have been pretty easy and/or short unless you played it 24/7 :D.

In the days following after I purchased the game I did spend a *good portion of my time playing the game. Like I said to get the most out of it I'm going to play it through in the other languages it comes in starting with French to hear the sexy female voices... *understatement :

Are you crazy??!!Of couse its fun.I like how every time you get a power cell Daxter does somthing diffrent.But this bugs me:How come Daxter did't die when he fell in the dark Eco and you die when YOU touch it :confused: I am cofused about that.

Well it's like I tell some people on this message board...it's only a game and sometimes you just have to accept some things and appreciate what you got for what it is.
Maybe Jak doesn't die but since he would be a little rodent there would be no point in going on so you just go back in time. Also maybe Dark Eco affects people differently. |
Well trying to kick the anticipation for Final Fantasy X and the LOR movie I've started playing J&D again, BUT THIS TIME IN FRENCH!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA*cough* excuse me...
It's neat to have a language function like this in games, however I'm still confuzzled as to why they left out the Japanese version in the American release for many American/English speaking gameplayers are huge fans of Japanese-"stuff". Oh well... Well in 45 minutes i'm already 33% through, since I already know how to do everything, but the game is still fun to play. That's saying a lot because I usually only play games to see their stories/FMV's/visuals. Dreamcast was one of the ultimate "fun" machines w/games like Jet Set Radio, Bangai-O, Samba de Amigo (w/marraccas of course) and Shenmue (though a little tedious at times). But PS2 is now the champ in my domain! With games like Dark Cloud, ZOE, Dynasty Warriors, GT3, and Jak & Daxter I'm now actually playing and beating games without using Gameshark or cheats! and since you also play DVDs...PS2 will you marry me?! ::gets slapped by girlfriend:: Ouch |
