Who Wants To Make A Comic? v.3

The idea of this thread dates back to 2006 when T-nex created the original version of WWTMAC. The basic concept is that approximately 6 members (usually ends up being more) make the frames of a whole comic, but there are some rules, of course.

Splat allowed that the rules he wrote last time shall be posted here again.

:

The rules:
I take 6 people (probably the first 6 people to apply here) to each make a panel of a comic.
The first person makes the first frame of a comic based on the theme stated below. Once complete, they send their frame to the second person on the list, and to me. The second person then makes the second frame of the comic, following on from the first person's. They then send their frame, and ONLY their frame, to me, and to the next person on the list.
Person number 3 makes their frame based on the one they recieved from person 2, and then sends their frame to me, and to person 4.
And so on until we reach person 6, who finishes the comic. Hopefully we should end up with something rather funny.

You can draw by hand or by computer. The image must be no larger than 1000x1000, so be careful if you're drawing it by hand.

To sum it up:
Step 1) You receive a frame from the person preceding you (if you're the first on the list, this will not happen, don't get confused).
Step 2) You draw a new frame which logically (or less so) follows the previous frame (the one you received from the person before you).
Step 3) You send your finished frame to the next person on the list, and to me (if you're the last person on the list, you send it only to me).
Step 4) You feel proud that you could understand the rules and carried out the task accordingly.

Now, the theme mentioned before is the word I randomly choose, and which is a sort of guideline for the first person on the list to start off. In this case, I randomly stopped a song without listening, and started it while listening.

And the word I first heard was: hot.

So, first person on the list, you should form your frame around this word. Should be easy to do, there are no other restrictions.

Check the previous threads if you're still unsure about how this works:
WWTMAC v.1
WWTMAC v.2

If you want to join, post here and also add which position you want to take.

The Final List:
1. stonetooth
2. MeechMunchie
3. Jordan
4. Carnix
5. MoxCo Executive
6. Abeguy
7. Kastere

Waiting List
Splat

If you still have questions, feel free to ask.

Splat 06-29-2009 01:03 PM

SWEET! I might join... but since I've participated in the other two threads, I'll wait and see if anyone else wants to fill the positions first.

If things don't fill up, I'll participate. (Said that last time, didn't I? :p)

Jordan 06-29-2009 01:22 PM

This sounds awesome. Would I be able to join in a spot somewhere in the middle, please?

bobtheguy 06-29-2009 01:23 PM

your still here Splat, someone said that you quit the forums

Put you in position 3, if that's alright.

Bob, he's clearly here. What's the use of posting that here? In PMs, there is power unimaginable.

Jordan 06-30-2009 07:18 AM

Yeah, that's fine, thanks Dripik. :)

Oddey 06-30-2009 07:45 AM

If the first position is still empty when I get back from my vacation, I'll gladly take it. But for now, I'll be watching.:D

Um, ok... well... I didn't... :fuzconf:

MeechMunchie 06-30-2009 09:24 AM

I'll give it a shot. As in, I'll join.

Surely you'll realize that something is missing from this post. Something which I have pointed out in the rules that you should include in your post...

Carnix 06-30-2009 10:22 AM

I've been waiting for this ever since the end of the last one. :p
Could I have position four or five please? Either's good.

I don't mind, that's why I didn't give a position. I suppose I could have written that.

stonetooth 07-01-2009 10:57 PM

I would like a spot. Maybe five or six, preferably? :D

Edit: Actually, one may be okay. Either three work. :P

2nd Edit: Ok definetly 1st. I have a awesome rough draft for the idea already. Just need to get a bigger piece of paper......Question --- Is it OK if I use printer paper? I mean is that big enough?

Not advised, spontaneity for the win. Besides, as I remember it, the first person doesn't get to choose what the comic is about, the theme (eg. 'whistling') is determined by the WWTMAC master after all spaces are filled.

Well yeah, I took care of the theme when I made the thread.

Gave you position 5 originally, Stone, but I'll edit it to first. It doesn't matter what sort of paper you use, as long as the picture you send forward as the final version does not exceed the size limit (1000x1000 pixels).

stonetooth 07-02-2009 10:03 AM

OK. And carnix, it is Dripik's theme "hot". And plus I just felt like doodling something yesterday.

Mac Sirloin 07-03-2009 01:11 PM

I'll join. Set me up for the last panel, if possible. I'll be sure not to ruin it.

Your time is now.

moxco 07-11-2009 02:30 PM

I was thinking of entering in wars of the art. Then I realized I wasn’t bothered. But only drawing one frame doesn't sound so bad. So sign me up!

MeechMunchie 07-12-2009 03:33 AM

So much for that idea.

dripik 07-12-2009 04:51 AM

Well, Splat, I take it you'll pass the opportunity to MoxCo. If yes, stonetooth should begin drawing (if not already done), and send the frame to Meech and me. I should note that I won't be online next week 'till Saturday, so don't expect a quick reply.

I hope everything is clear, but I'm sure Splat or T-Nex (if she's around) will answer any questions about this.

Abeguy 07-12-2009 08:24 AM

Abeguy should be number 7. which is always a good number.

He missed out on the first two and would ever so much love to be a part of this one :D

DO I GET TO DO ONE

stonetooth 07-12-2009 10:11 AM

OK so am I going to start? I'm not sure because it doesn't shot spot five filled up yet.

DO I GET TO DO ONE

You've been on the list ever since your request, so yeah.

Well, I was waiting for Splat to object for position 5, but it seems I'll have to give that to MoxCo. Also, I think an additional position for Abeguy is alright. That is, position 6, since Kastere asked for the last one.

You may begin.

stonetooth 07-12-2009 12:45 PM

OK then, I should have it done by the end of next week, maybe earlier, but that all depends on if I can find a scanner. :P I may have to use the one at "my church". Gah.

Splat 07-12-2009 02:19 PM

Stick me on the waiting list in case anyone drops out. Can't wait to see the result, guys!

moxco 07-13-2009 01:07 PM

YAY! My printer/scanner/fax machine/giant-robot-in-disguise has just broken! Ill try fixing it or getting a new one b4 the pic gets to me.

Ooi, How long do you think that'll be?

stonetooth 07-13-2009 03:55 PM

Well my picture is going to be done by the end of the week, and I don't know how long the other people before you are going to take, but i'm sure you have a good amount of time to get it fixed.

Carnix 07-14-2009 12:40 AM

Am I the only participant who will complete his frame in a prompt ten minutes?...

Holy shit! MoxCo has a transformer!?
