Abe's oddysee exe error
 

Hello here. I have obtained oddworld abe's oddysee from a friend.
every time i Double click or press Enter on abewin.exe this error message always comes up on windows when i open abewin.exe

abewin.exe - No Disk
There is no disk in the drive, Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk2\DR5. (Cancel) (Try again) (Continue)

(Cancel) and (Continue) works but (Try again) never works for me.

How to remove this error message from this exe file.
please can someone help me out here.

Assuming that you have actually put the disc on the CD tray and the computer has read it, I can only suggest trying a reinstall, but I doubt that will work.

Did you acquire it on disk or did he just give you it on a USB or send it. If its the latter then we can't help you as it it a form of piracy but I will say you will need a No-CD crack to get it working. Thats all.

If you have it on disk then what operating system are you running it on? have you checked the compatibility tab in the exe's properties or are you mounting a disk image?

I suggest you buy it off Steam or GoG.com . That way, you'll have the full game running off your hard drive and it won't need the CD. And they're really quite cheap.

abewin.exe is broken because the (No Disk) error message.
I will soon try steam version of abe's oddysee if that solve my problem.

I have now bought oddworld abe's oddysee on steam and moved abewin.exe from steam version to original game folder and replaced my broken abewin.exe with steam version of abewin.exe and i got this error message: Steam Error Application load error 2:000006558

…Why? Now you have the Steam version, which is completely fully functional. You don’t need to move abewin.exe, and in fact that won’t work because Steam games need the Steam client to run. Put the Steam abewin.exe back where you found it and just play that.

Careful you don't burn youself.

Directly inside steam. the error message is away and will never shows there on steam. :)

Is there any other errors/bugs/glitches in AbeWin.exe
Please decribe on how to make/found them in both oddworld abe's oddysee and exoddus.

Why do you want to find errors? The reason they call them errors is becasue there bad.

The worst as can happen if you want to cheat in oddworld games are that they will crashing game.

I had the same error. But I just clicked 4 times on continue then I could play. Never had the problem since.
