I've listened it and I have to say it's a pretty good remix.

Sounds good. Not much better than the original though. Who exactly is Tom Lynn?

Don't know who he is, even after looking at his site :)
But this is his explaination why he made this music remix:

Fighting Outlaws remix
This is an original composition by Michael Bross, a very talented LA-based electronic musician and game composer who I recently reconnected with after meeting years ago in college in Pittsburgh. The remix was made using source files he has available for download on his website bross.com. I limited myself to using only his sounds with a bit of creative editing and manipulation. It was an interesting experience and helped get me out of some of my habitual ways of working. Be sure to visit his site to hear the original version and for samples of his upcoming projects.
