Left 4 dead 2
hmmm interesting
gonna look foward to this coming out |
I WANNA PLAY AS UNCLE PHIL
Shouldn't we just merge this with the first game's thread?
We don't have that power.
I SUMMON THEE GODS OF OWFCADIA BRING YOUR ELDRITCH POWERS AND UNNATURAL MIGHT AND TELEPORT THIS FOUL THREAD INTO THE LOVING BOSOM OF THE OTHER THREAD PLEASE I CANT DO IT |
Now this is something I can't wait for! I loved the first one and only god knows how much I'm gonna love the 2nd one when I get my hands on it!
I'm looking forward to this one. I like the idea that they are actually expanding the Left 4 Dead universe. I like looking at details in the various levels that tell a little bit of back story. Writing on the walls and old settlements where people tried to hold out. I kinda hope we'll learn a little more about the infection itself, how it happened and stuff like that. But that's just my story eager self :).
And of course... chainsaws. Can't wait to saw entire hordes of zombies to pieces. It's going to be like Gears of War, but x40! |
The Chainsaw is going to have a limited fuel. I'm calling it.
I figured things like the chainsaw would become limited use (and rarely found) items that are like 30 second 'killing everything within a 2 feet radius' weapons. Kind of like the pipebombs in the original.

Does the chainsaw kill the Charger then? I haven't looked much into L4D 2 yet so I wouldn't know.
:
I'd imagine it could certainly hurt him, but his main ability is to stun, right? (Oh by the way they said he stunned) So getting up close might not be a solid plan. |
Huh? New specials? Huh.
:
The proto-boomer? Sounds cool enough.
I'm buying it. If only to have new environments to play murder-tag with Kastere.
I'm not looking forward to it, at all.
This looks pretty good. The frying pan looks particularly funny to use.
I know this one's going to have 5 campaigns, new guns and new special infected, which also sounds good. |

Why do you want previous content in a sequel game? And what was wrong with the TF2 360 update?
:
And Valve has been talking about updating the 360 version for at least a year now, and keep pushing it back for bullshit reasons. I figured it would be out by March and they haven't mentioned it in any of their updates in awhile. |
Thing is, Valve talked all the way through their developer commentary about how the darkness is such a big part of No Mercy, etc.
:
While I was playing the No Mercy rooftop level yesterday I was actually thinking about how the survivors are always on the move during the night, which doesn't make sense to me. Why, if you're stuck in the middle of a zobie infested city, would you only travel at night? :p
It's harder to be seen, maybe? I mean, they aren't vampires. They apparently have the ability to be out in the day.
Generally the zombie infestations always start at sunset and it's a case of surviving until sunrise. It's a symbolic thing. It was also lampshaded by Steven King in Cell who had monsters who slept during daylight, so a nomadic human society could exist in a sort of fashion by being nocturnal.
