But the Eye toy could be seen as a prototype and Microsoft are just developing it more

Oh. I didn't knock it on it's usability. That comes later.

That wasn't so much what enamoured me. I was interested in the voice recognition, tone recognition, and basically everything in that second video.

Eye Toy and Wii are as prokaryotes to this monster eukaryote.

i prefer a pad, i play games to relax and entertain myself, not to jump around and tire myself, this is why i dislike wii (along with its crap graphics and not so good games)

Does no one else recognise the significance of its application in Molyneux's demo?

i recognise it and think its amazing technology, and dont get how you can have an actual convosation with a computer, but i wouldnt buy one.

Wii still has price on its side. I can only imagine how much this gear will cost.

I actually intend to buy a Wii later this year, if only for DK Jungle Beat remake and Madworld.

And No more Heroes.

And the just announced "Metroid: Another M"

And Super Mario Galaxy

And Super Mario Galaxy 2

And New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

And No More Heroes 2

And innumerable Virtual Console games.

But otherwise, yeah, the Wii is screwed.

More than $200US, from the rumours I've heard. What's more, there's no way it's going to work as well as it looks in the videos. And it's not even coming out this year.

This I count as meaningless hype.

It's more of the fact that the technology actually exists that impresses me. I thought that was years, decades away.

Wonder if Milo will have the balls to call people fat and ugly.

This has basically everything the Wii was supposed to have. I would buy this.
I wouldn't be surprised if Fable 3 used Project Natal.

This looks quite interesting, but it seems like too much of a copy from the wii( like the avatar system on the 360).
But, if its better than it, then it should be good.

Pretty sure that the only new thing about the Wii's avatars was that it was three-dimensional and on a game console.

And the 360 Avatars do look significantly better.

Although it would be better if they didn't look like Wiis and actually looked slightly realistic.

Mine looks like a good balance between world weary and manic. That's realistic enough for me.
