Telltale Games is making a new Monkey Island series of games: http://www.telltalegames.com/monkeyisland
Sadly, it doesn't look like they've hired Ron Gilbert to make his original MI3. Oh well, I can hope for the future.

Also, Monkey Island 1 Special Edition for XBLA, with New and Improved graphics: http://www.lucasarts.com/games/monkeyisland/

God dammit, when I saw the main index say "HOLY CRAP NEW MONKEY..." I thought that a new species of primate had been discovered in some backwater jungle.

Somehow you have allowed the news of new Monkey Island to disappoint me. Shame on you.

There are many more species of monkey than there are Monkey Island games, even if you count the Telltale series as five. This is more special than new primates.
