Beyond Good and Evil 2 gameplay?

I bet this isn't the gameplay but just the intro or something.

That looks pretty sweet. I don't know if I like how realistic everything looks, though. One thing I liked about the first was the semi-cartoony, fantastic atmosphere.

My gut feeling is that this is not BG&E2. The characters are too humany and the design looks... uninspired.

Looks to me like a tech demo of some sort.

The characters in Rayman 1 and Rayman 2 had nothing in common, except Rayman himself, so that wouldn't totally surprise me...

And the girl really looks like Jade

Yes, she does. But she also looks like Lara Croft in another costume.

From what I've read, this story is meant to follow on from BG&E pretty closely; Michel Ancel had originally envisaged it as a trilogy of games.

That said, Wikipedia quotes Ancel as saying "This time we are dealing with planet's future, and the relationship with animals..." so perhaps all the animals have been segregated or something. Maybe.

I'd love for it to continue with the zoological aspect. There are so many loose ends to be tied up. What happened to Pey'j after he got the DomZ spore, and what did Jade do with her re-awakened power?

First Trailer showed Pey'j living it up with a bandaged hand and fly devouring habit.

Hmm. I didn't notice that.
