Anybody else a Saunders fan?
 

George Saunders specifically, the writer of Pastoralia and In Persuasion Nation, among several others short story books. What he addresses in his stories mainly include the almost laughable mistakes that people, as a whole, make. Consumerism + organized culture and how they turn us into pigs etc etc... My favorite is Pastoralia; it has several good short stories besides the one the book itself is titled after.
