Grand National!

Well, it's the Grand National. [Note: This is an annual horse racing event]
Is anyone going to bet on it? We normally bet a few quid every year.

I dont usually bet since i lost my stationary and a pc game to my mate in poker at school. You can guess what type of school it was.

Wings of Fire 04-03-2009 12:27 PM

I don't think I'll be funding animal cruelty this year.

AlexFili 04-03-2009 12:41 PM

I think that's a bit harsh. It's not like fox hunting or cock fighting.

cock fighting.

Your turn, Pilot.

Strike Witch 04-03-2009 01:07 PM

Yeah, I don't particularly like horse-racing.

Havoc 04-03-2009 04:09 PM

Alex you talk about horse race betting like everyone does it or something...

It's not the superbowl, no one gives a crap about it.

Oddey 04-03-2009 11:42 PM

I don't give a crap about the Superbowl either. The way everyone cares about sport competitions so much scares me.

I've never even heard of Grand National until now. I don't bet anyway. I don't trust my luck one bit.:D

AlexFili 04-04-2009 12:51 AM

The Grand National is a special horse racing event that happens only once a year. Basically if there ever was a time to bet on horses, this event would be it.

At least, that's what I've been told. Maybe I've been lied to all my life!
It wouldn't surprise me!

Bugger that. Come to Melbourne in November for Melbourne Cup Day. Only horse race in the world that has its own public holiday.

You lazy bastards. We don't get nothing on the melbourne cup day. If our teacher is nice he/she may let us watch it on tv/listen on the radio.

Strike Witch 04-04-2009 12:02 PM

Ah, Melbourne Cup. Teaching children to gamble.

Hobo 04-04-2009 05:58 PM

Yeah, why the fuck do you care about the Superbowl Havoc? Is it because you're a moron? Why am I asking anyone, I know that's the reason.
