The Results of the 7th Annual Oddworld Forums Poster Awards
 

Good evening forum inhabitants! I'm just so excited about are awards tonite, I've been glued to the edge of my seat all through the voting period, and very shortly I'm going to quickly add all the votes up and announce this year's award winners. But first I'd like to thank all the members who voted.

It doesn't mater to me if you were only able to vote for certain subsections of the full list of categories or you couldn't put a username to every single title. Oddworld forums are not an all-or-nothing package, and the important thing is that you took the time and consideration to judge your fellow posters and asign a kind of rank on their worth. Bravo! Voter turnout is the highest its been since 2005, with 28 members contributing to the awards, the second highest figure yet. So before we procede, let's give it up for the voters!:

Yippee! I'm just buzzing with adrenaline and coke after all that celebrity-based goodness. I think it's going to take a month to scrub the muddy footprints off our red carpet with all the award winners walking up it tonite. 23! The highest number of winners ever, perhaps in part the new categories that were started in part by suggestions from members. Members like yourself!

Special mentions should go to Bullet Magnet and OANST, both of whom grabbed an impressive four awards each. Bullet Magnet also takes home a signed Certificate of Popularity for having the most votes for him across all categories, a healthy 51. That means everyone voted for him 1·82 times each! Congratulations too to Hobo whose name came in first, second and joint third in the Best Couple category. Some kind of unsurprised pat on the back to Max the Mug for winning the same award all seven years.

Show's over, folks, but there's leftovers in the foyer for you all. Ask one of the caterers for some cling film if you want to take anything home, just leave me a slice of fruit cake. I've also been told that the valets have gone on strike while we were in here, so you'll have to find your own cars. Drive home safely now! Your cheques for turning up will be mailed out some time before December.

I'm genuinely flattered to have won best writer. There's a bunch of good writers on the forums, nice to see a load of new good fanfics around and I am surprised and pleased to win. Give it 24 hours though and humility will be replaced by gloating.

thanks to all the ones who voted for me!

Thanks to a SQL ability I learnt today, I was able to look over Wired’s working outs and reveal that Bullet Magnet really is the most popular one amongst us. Of the 28 voters, 23 put his name down for at least one award.

On the other hand, OANST was overall the most versatile member, his name being put down at least once for 14 of the 29 categories.

If anyone is really bored or sad and wants me to work anything else out, I’ll certainly give it a shot. Nothing like quantitative analyses of your friends.
