What age were you when you first played Oddworld?
I was about 6 years old, We had Abe's Exoddus free with our first computer and when i played it, i used to get scared when i was beeing chased by Fleechs and Slogs, it took me ages to work out how you shoot with a Slig :D
|
For me I was about 10 when I played Oddworld. I did quite well, although I didn't save many mudokons on AO. I even got the bad ending the first time I think.
|
The first time i played AE i saved about 45 Mudokons! I was on Boewerkz for ages XD
I played AO when i was about 9 |
I think I was 19.
|
i was four...
|
3-4 when I played throught AO
5 when I played throught AE In AE I was quite good but In AO, i didn't make it to the good ending until second try. Dad couldn't help me much because he was even dumber than me >:D ...And actually, is still. EDIT: Some typos and grammar fails. |
You guys started pretty young.
Hmmm I think I started around the age of 13-14, can't remember very well. |
I was 4 or 5 when I first played AO. The fact I played the game quite young probably is half the reason I still love Oddworld today.
|
Probably had my first play of AO when I was about 5 or 6. Properly started playing when I was 7, with AE.
|
I remember playing Abe's Exoddus with my cousin when i was around about 6. I think my dad bought Abe's oddysee for me after that, which I played for hours and hours...
|
I have my guess that I was about ten or eleven (I got Exoddus before Oddysee). I remember a project of mine involving a big slig with a light-up eye when I was eleven, so it must have been around about then
|
I chose AO as a birthday present for my mum when I was 3. She couldn't play it(too hard) and here I am today :D
I used to get scared by sligs when I first played it(I could never get past them) and gave up. 4-ish years later I was looking through my dads games(DN3D, QuakeII, Magic carpet 2 etc.) and I found the disk. I have basically memorized every area(excluding secrets), but don't ask me to name them from a screen number. AE was when I was 10. I borrowed it for 2 years(finished 3 times, all bad ending) |
My dad played through AO on ps1 and AE on Pc with all Good endings

Erm... Four I think. Played on my 166mHz PC, oh that computer was so badass...
I fell in love with AO as soon as I watched my dad prance through Paramonia while I watched without moving, my eyes glued to the screen, and I immediately decided that I would complete this game, saving all 99 mewdookuns as I used to call them as soon as I could. And I did... Three months ago. ABM |
I was about 4
|
Hah. I hunted you down on Google Earth so now I know where you live.

I had it as a SATs present when I was eight or nine, after playing the standalone OPSM demo so much.
My mum had offered a shaky explanation for a Rupture Farms symbol marked "Scrabania" on my memory card in the week prior to that. |
I was around five or six. When I lived in Pittsburgh, my mom and I would sometimes stop at a Circuit City in the suburbs. I would head to the game section and scruitnize AO until we had to leave. She eventually got it for me, but I was too freaked out to even get passed RuptureFarms. It wasn't until I was thirteen that I started getting somewhere with the games.

I would have been ten when I first played the Abe’s Oddysee demo, and possibly eleven by the time I had the full game. I really can’t remember exactly. Stop making me feel old. |
I was 4-5 for AO
and 5-6 For AE |
Yeahh... Sorry 'bout that Max, a bit of a hyper random spam'o'hrreah.
I only played MO for the first time a few months ago though...## ABM |
I started playing at age 5 or so when my uncle bought it for me. Being five with an innocent veiw upon the world, it brought a lot more emotion than it does to this day. About a year later when I had come to grips with the game I was given Abe's Exoddus, and a new spell was set upon me. When Munch's Oddysee came out I was eager to buy it. Eager enough to get my mom to buy the Xbox as the first ever console in our household. At the time it was a good game for me. Stranger's Wrath was a game I met with mixed emotions. Part of me wondered if it really was Oddworld, and the other part of me knew it was awesome.
Oddworld has had a lot of influence in my life as a game.:D |
Stranger's Wrath is an excellent game. I have just been "de-pantsed" :p
|
Stranger's wrath definately was the "dawn of a new age" for oddworld. It was different fom the others. i still think Abe should have been envolved.

I was first introduced to Oddworld when I played the demo of Abe's Oddysee on the PSone demo 1 disc. I would have been able 6 or 7.
In the same year that we got our PSone, we bought the full version of Abe's Oddysee. At first, I sucked at it and needed my mother's help to do some levels. Over the course of about 10 years, my skill has improved dramatically. I am sooo glad that I played that game. OH! And I remember seeing an advert for Abe's Oddysee in the window of a dry-cleaners! |
LOL
Never seen a Ad for Oddworld. and why of all places to put a Oddworld ad they put it in the dry cleaners XD |
I started at then and I never stopped
|
I first played AO when I was 2 or 3 at my cousins house
I got AE for my 7th or 8th birthday |
I was 4, but I played co-op with my mom because it was her copy, not mine.
