dantes inferno

dont know if anyone has posted this already or if its worthy news but over at ign i was reading a preview of Dante's inferno and it mentioned, quote "Knight also pointed out his team, which includes an Oscar nominated scriptwriter to help pen the story of the game as well as designers who'd worked on Stranger's Wrath and God of War II".
sorry if its been posted already but i searched and i think the search engine is not working?

No, it hasn't been. But there were a lot of people who worked on the Oddworld games. We don't need to list any time any individual has moved on and is working on other projects.

The benchmark for surreal nightmarish scenes rests firmly with Limbo in Silent Hill 1, Lakeview Hotel in SH2 and The Hospital in SH3 in my opinion, the fact that they want to make Dante into an action hero will remove most if not all of what the poem is about.

Now personally I've always wanted to play a game based on Paradise Lost, about the fall of man and the war on Heaven from Satan's pov.

It's too interesting an idea. It'll never happen.

I remember hearing about Dante's Inferno like, a year ago (The game, not the book, just to clarify) and I thought "that'll be cool, but isn't it a poem?"

Then again, like a month ago, I hear it's going to be an action game.

Well, fuck.

sorry nate just thought it might be of some interest and sorry for posting in wrong place

The horrible thing is that the more I read about this game, the more I see that they've stolen an idea I had a few years ago and never told anyone. Bitches.
