That's good, for just using solid colours :)

Try shading it, it'll look even better.

Oh, and instead of making a new thread for this drawing, i suggest next time just post it in your old thread, otherwise everything gets cluttered (moreso, anyway).

ssilbyma 01-22-2009 04:45 PM

hey thanks for the tip
sorry... next time ill use the same thread =D
cheers!

Ajiellyn 01-22-2009 05:01 PM

Very nice! =) This reminds me of when all I had to work with was paint and a mouse.

To echo what Scrabino said, you should try playing around with shading. Since MSpaint is such a simple program, shading is the best trick under your belt. It can take a long time, but you can never shade too much when it comes to Paint.

And yes, please post your work in just one thread, we'll find it there.

This is an awesome step up from your previous work, since I tend to abuse MS paint as well I must say that's a very good scrab. It does however need a bit of detail work.

Yes yes! O: What they said. I'd suggest just making some lines to define the chest.. but it looks freakin' AWESOME. <333

ssilbyma 01-22-2009 05:10 PM

thanks every one!! =D
ill try shading it later on 2day or later 2night!!
=D
and i might even try a paramite later on as well!
cheers!!

That scrab is very good considering it was done on MS paint.

dripik 01-23-2009 11:28 AM

That's not bad for a start. The lines did some good on the last one, it's more definite now. I'd say the legs are a bit thick, and they could use some outlines as well (I mean, at the top, where they connect to the body).

If you want, you can check one of my old Paint drawings of a Scrab. Just for reference.

That might actually be the ugliest scrab I've ever witnessed. Nah but if you want to improve at paint you should start with dark colors setting the ground, then adding different colors for different layers and use dark lines as finishing touch, the deph in body muscles is mainly constructed by using different shades of a color. This is particullary effective to use in Microsoft Paint since it's such a simple program. Also a shadow on the ground might help with the overall view. White might not be the ideal BG color for a scrab. And what's up with the mouth? It's not a human is it.

Repeat, do it right.
