This is a banned commercial, but anyway, the important thing is the sounds used from Oddworld. If you listen at the beginning you'll hear the intro-sounds.
Kinda puzzled about that. Maybe someone knows the answer?? ^^

Actually, that sample has been used quite thoroughly in other songs as well. I heard it in a movie a couple of years ago. I think it's just one of those very common samples which is used repeatedly by whoever desires it. It's probably part of a sample-pack of some sorts, or at least it's meant to be used freely.

Actually, that music was composed by Josh Gabriel specifically for OWI. As Lorne told me last year:

But with the Oddworld theme; it’s funny; when we created that music… I was saying that we need a theme. I always thought of with The X‐Files— ​which actually used to be the hold music when you called Oddworld. Josh’s favourite commercial branding was the Duracell battery ‘Bong gong KUNG’—​he said ‘Three notes, man, and you know what it is, we’ve got to get that.’ So then we had the Oddworld theme and we did variations on that. So, in taking it to the next level we’ll be experimenting more and more with that. I would call them echoes of the original and then embellishing them with more time, money and budget.

And a more sentimental and trivial question, are Lorne and Sherry (and/or Bross) ever going to bring back the Oddworld theme (the one heard in several different styles in the starts of AO and AE, running through several of MO’s gameplay vis videos, and at the very start of the Icons episode)? I love that piece so much, it hits all the right emotive and scalar tones, and is really very beautiful.
Those previs vids would be the Scrab Herd, Scrab and Windmill, and Muds and Hut ones.

Someone found this exact same thing about a year or so ago. I think it was MoxCo. Executive. But that doesn't stop me from wanting to say it's still weird as ever.

But if it was made specifically for oddworld.. I sure as hell hope those guy got permission to use the pieces.

I'm not sure I like that music. But then, I haven't heard the whole thing through, and it could simply be an early place holder (ie simple instruments picking out the tune etc). I do like the desert migration one though.

I recognise some of the notes from the FMVs in Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus, so I like that there really was a theme emerging from that, but I'm pissed that I haven't experienced the whole.

if they didn't use the music by permission, it may have been one of the reasons the ad was banned.
