My Custom Oddworld Sprites
 

Some of you may remember Arxryl making a thread like this a while back which led to many a fan-game hosting his sprites. If you're curios here's a link.
Well it's been about 3 years since then and I think it's time I gave the whole custom sprite set thing a go and here's what I've got so far:

Of course I plan on expanding and creating many more sprites in this style so I'll upload them here when anything new is done.
I'm interested in your feedback and I welcome any suggestions so please feel free to speak your mind.

the glukkon looks funneh ^^

The glukkon jumping looks kinda wired(second frame:fuzconf:.....)
They're all pretty good tho. After my fuzzy mess game is finished I'll definatly use these.

Cute sprites, I look forward to seeing your sligs with baited breath.

What's weird about it? Maybe it's something I can fix.

The legs aren't done yet because the robopants thing will take time that I currently wish to spend elsewhere. In the meantime I invite anyone to give it a shot themselves.

If you want other poses or characters for projects of any sort just ask.

It'll animate well, but looks wired still(not like still as in: still wired, but as in: doesn't look good...(thesaurus time) Motionless!).

I'm saving a copy of those "mutated sligs" with legs! Seriously, you have no idea when sprites of a new glukkon superweapon may come in handy

Right I gave the legs a shot but can't seem to put them into the walk/run sprites properly:

the legs don't move like human(or mudukon) legs, maybe that's why. they look really good. I'm just saving a copy now!

I don't plan on doing Shrykull until I have done scrabs and paramites but watch this thread I will do him eventually.
Originally I was only going to do characters from the first three games because I don't know much at all about Stranger's Wrath however if you can get me another picture that clearly shows his face I will do Fangus for you.
And yes, use my sprites as you wish.

The flying slig has some really cool spinny-helicopter-thing effects. Paramite would be awesome.

Fangus isn't a Steef, he's a member of a species that evolved from dogs. The game was going to be set on Oddworld but one of the reasons they scrapped it was becuase he became too human-like in appearance.

Yeh there were a shit load of humanoids and the concepts on that 'linked' website all sort of show an environment and atmosphere Half Life 2 portrayed.

So,carnix can you mace those sprites?
BTw,Malloy from where did you get that artwork???

A few weeks ago my adapter died so I haven't had internet connection for a while but it's been replaced and I'm back now so I'll get to it.
