Few of you will remember, others from Facebook will have an inkling and anyone from MSN will be sick of hearing this but...

I'm leaving for Japan tomorrow afternoon.

Good, good times.

I mean. Unbelievably good times.

My university is paying for me and 8 of my friends to go.

I'm going to Tokyo first for 7 days. Generally sight seeing and being in awe of Japan's awesomeosity. Then I'm travelling to Kobe by train to be a teaching assistant in a school for children between the ages of 4 and 8, again for a week. And then back to Tokyo for 3 days just to wander about and so forth.

So I look forward to seeing you all in about 18 days!

I remember I once went to Japan. A place called Yokosuka, I believe. This was in about 2001. It was in fact that trip that influenced me to purchase Shenmue, I was curious to how accurate the game was in terms of geography.

If Tokyo's anything like Yokosuka, you'll love it. Have a nice trip.

Yeah, and apparently it's the only intoxicant they have over there. My Japanese friend told me marijuana is smoked up in the higher echelons of gangs, but other than that it's just booze.

Which is weird, because I would have figured Japanese people pop some CRAZY pills.

My Japanese friend got busted for carrying drugs and went to Japanese Jail for a year.

His name is Kiko-san and he's awesome.
